"Stevie Wonder, Characters"

Classic Analog Out Of Print LP Pressing. CHARACTERS - Characters is one of the lesser known albums in the Stevie Wonder catalog. It would be a great album by most artist's standards. "Stevie Wonder, Innervisions (Colored Vinyl)"

Stevie Wonder - Innervisions FACTORY SEALED LIMITED EDITION COLORED VINYL LP The political undercurrents long simmering in Stevie Wonders work reached their boiling point on the masterful Innervisions, a record as potent and insightful in its exploration of contemporary life as Marvin Gaye is What is Going On two years earlier. The opening Too High, an acute condemnation of drug use, quickly establishes the record is forceful yet vibrant tone, which alternates between utopian dreamscapes Visions and tough minded realism Jesus Children of America; the record is dueling concerns converge on the hit Living for the City, which is both a brilliant examination of the myriad of social ills so endemic to the ghetto experience and a stirring celebration of African-American resilience. And on Higher Ground, Wonder even points a finger at himself to detail a sinner is second a chance at life, a song which took on even greater resonance in the wake of the car crash which nearly killed him just months after the release. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Track Listings 1. "Stevie Wonder, Music of My Mind"

Classic Analog Out Of Print Limited Edition LP. Stevie Wonder's "Music Of My Mind" was his first LP released under his revised contract with Motown, which enabled him a greater artistic freedom that produced some of the most widely acclaimed, innovative and inspired moments of the 1970s. MUSIC OF MY MIND, Stevie Wonder was getting his fusion of soul, rock, and various other styles together when Music of My Mind appeared in early 1972. A bit shapeless compared with Talking Book, the masterpiece he'd release by the end of the year, this disc nonetheless finds the then-21-year-old self-assuredly deploying an array of synthesized textures and natural voices: check out the drawl lurking around the edges of "Sweet Little Girl." Not an essential album, but an entertaining one--and one that, in retrospect, carried enormous implications for the future of American music. Track Listings 1. Love Having You Around 2. Superwoman (Where Were You When I Needed You) 3. I Love Every Little Thing About You 4. Sweet Little Girl 5. Happier Than the Morning Sun 6. Girl Blue 7. Seems So Long 8. Keep on Running 9. Evil

"Stevie Wonder, Talking Book (rare tan vinyl)"

Classic Analog LP Pressing (rare tan vinyl). TALKING BOOK, - The two No. 1 hits from this 1972 album perfectly illustrate the contrasting sides of Wonder's complex personality. "Superstition" is a strong rocker, a paranoid bit of wah-wah guitar funk that's as persistent as the best punk music; the opening track, "You Are the Sunshine of My Life," is a pure love song that would sound corny coming from any other voice. A hint of bitterness, perhaps owing to Wonder's then-dissolving marriage, gives Talking Book its edge. But overall it's obsessed with love, and while "Sunshine" is still one of the singer/keyboardist's most beloved songs, the closing "I Believe (When I Fall in Love It Will Be Forever)" is much deeper and more rewarding. Track Listings 1. You Are the Sunshine of My Life 2. Maybe Your Baby 3. You and I (We Can Conquer the World) 4. Tuesday Heartbreak 5. You've Got It Bad Girl 6. Superstition 7. Big Brother 8. Blame It on the Sun 9. Lookin' for Another Pure Love 10. I Believe (When I Fall in Love It Will Be Forever)

"Sting, Mercury Falling - CURRENTLY SOLD OUT"

Sting's "Mercury Falling" - Vinyl Analog LP Sting's "Mercury Falling" builds and builds into the epiphany of "I'm so happy I can't stop crying" we feel our eyes opening to a larger picture, a universe where all is connected. This whole album comes to seem almost like one long story. The irony of "I'm so happy" is heartbreaking, and is balanced by true sorrow in other songs, pure joy in others. Irony continues with the odd cowboy tone that pops up now and then, as strange as the off-rhythms Sting casts them in (does he mock himself? Could an Englishman ever truly "get" the cowboy thing?: ever hear Elton Johns "Tumbleweed Connection!!!) Wandering, flirtation, betrayal, recovery are all here, along with a truly funny "All Four Seasons." Having bothered to follow up on the hunch that there was more to this album than first meets the ear, I feel I've heard secrets that reveal the man. Of course, it's always a temptation to call the novel the story of the novelist, but this album really has the feel of personal truth, through rock-solid poetry and imaginative music. 1. The Hounds Of Winter 2. I Hung My Head 3. Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot 4. I Was Brought To My Senses 5. You Still Touch Me 6. I'm So Happy I Can't Stop Crying 7. All Four Seasons 8. "Supertramp, Famous Last Words - Original Release"

SUPERTRAMP FAMOUS RARE LAST WORDS ORIGINAL A&M LABEL ISSUE A&MSP 3284 Sealed LP Classic Analog Out Of Print ORIGINAL RELEASE w/ small cut out in cover SUPERTRAMP - FAMOUS LAST WORDS (ORIGINAL RELEASE Long out of print FOR DECADES) - FAMOUS LAST WORDS classic analog ORIGINAL RELEASE pressing with small cutout in cover) LAST WORDS - Famous Last Words" was just that for Roger Hodgson, co-songwriter, whose departure is synonymous with the album. But not letting disputes or history ruin the music, Supertramp offers yet another superb album, still keeping their catchy mock-pop flavor, but trading in their stark cynicism for a well balanced and finely produced element of R&B, with that classic arrogant touch. Though FAMOUS LAST WORDS was one of the last in a string of successful albums for Supertramp, it nonetheless shows a wonderful progression from their tight musical style of the 70's to an even more harmonic, traditional--yet inventive--fashion. The tracks here may be the most quintessential Supertramp tracks of the 80's, setting the stage for those contained on 1985's Brother Where You Bound? (which Hodgson was not a part of). Crazy has a catchy yet uniquely creative beat and tune (like all tracks on FAMOUS LAST WORDS) My Kind of Lady is a simple love song that compliments Bonnie, which could have easily been a staple of soft rock radio, while the vocally organized Put On Your Old Brown Shoes and C'est Le Bon are probably Supertramp's most obviously R&B-influenced songs to date; the excellent Know Who You Ar' holds a mood of near-melancholia; It's Raining Again is one of their most curious songs (since'Give a Little Bit from"Even in the Quietest Moment"), this one being a highly upbeat, traditionally quirky ditty for the brokenhearted, complete with a chorus of kids singing It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring..." Then again, Waiting So Long boasts heavier guitar riffs and haunting vocal sounds, an exemplary Supertramp performance, as Don't Leave Me Now is one of the more musically imaginative ballads of the 80s.

"Taj Mahal, Giant Step / De Old Folks"

Classic Analog Out Of Print LP Pressing One of the more woefully underappreciated blues artists of the last three decades, Taj Mahal has consistently made great records that combine his extensive knowledge of roots music with a refreshingly non-elitist sensibility. Giant Step/De Ole Folks At Home from 1969 was Taj's commercial high point, and it's easy to understand why. The first half of the album (originally released as a two-record set) features Taj and band blending rock, pop and blues on songs like "Take a Giant Step," "Give Your Woman What She Wants" and "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl." The second half is more laid-back and down-home, with Taj essaying solo renditions of "Fishing Blues," "Stagger Lee" and "Light Rain Blues" on banjo, harmonica and acoustic guitar. The most effortlessly enjoyable record of an effortlessly enjoyable career. --Dan Epstein 1. Ain't Gwine Whistle Dixie (Anymo') 2. Take A Giant Step 3. Give Your Woman What She Wants (From the Motion Picture "The April Fools") 4. Good Morning Little School Girl 5. You're Gonna Need Somebody On Your Bond 6. Six Days On The Road (Album Version) 7. "Taj Mahal, S/T"

Classic Analog Out Of Print LP Pressing Taj Mahal (Henry Sainte Claire Fredericks)-singer, multi- instrumentalist, and ethnomusicologist-has described blues as "a very sensual, down-into-the-body music." One of the most prominent figures in late 20th century blues, singer/multi-instrumentalist Henry St. Clair Fredericks played an enormous role in revitalizing and preserving traditional blues. His self-titled debut album was recorded in August 1967, and came out just as several established blues stars ventured into psychedelia and rock n' roll at the insistence of their record companies. But not Taj Mahal. These arrangements may be updated when compared to what Robert Johnson or Willie McTell did thirty-five years earlier, but it's still the blues, genuine, mostly acoustic blues, dominated by harp and howling slide guitar. These lean, stripped-down arrangements were alien to most record producers at the time, and they are part of the reason why this album holds up so well. Tracks include: 1. Leaving Truck 2. Statesboro Blues 3. Checkin' Up On My Baby 4. Everybody's Got To Change Sometime 5. E Z Rider 6. Dust My Broom 7. Diving Duck Blues 8. The Celebrated Walkin' Blues

"Taj Mahal, The Natch'l Blues"

TAJ MAHAL - The Natch'l Blues - Out of Print LP - Analog vinyl pressing for superior fidelity. Taj Mahal (Henry Sainte Claire Fredericks)-singer, multi- instrumentalist, and ethnomusicologist-has described blues as "a very sensual, down-into-the-body music." Taj Mahal's been chasing the blues around the world for years, but rarely with the passion, energy, and clarity he brought to his first three albums. Taj Mahal, The Natch'l Blues and The Real Thing are the sound of the artist, who was born in 1942, defining himself and his music. On his self-titled 1967 debut, he not only honors the sound of the Delta masters with his driving National steel guitar and hard vocal shout, but ladles in elements of rock and country with the help of guitarists Ry Cooder and the late Jessie Ed Davis. This approach is reinforced and broadened by The Natch'l Blues. What's most striking is Mahal's way of making even the oldest themes sound as if they're part of a new era. Not just through the vigor of his playing--relentlessly propulsive, yet stripped down compared with the six-string ornamentations of the original masters of country blues--but through his singing, which possesses a knowing insouciance distinct to post-Woodstock counterculture hipsters. It's the voice of an informed young man who knows he's offering something deep to an equally hip and receptive audience. Tracks include: 1. Good Morning Miss Brown 2. Corinna 3. I Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Steal My Jellyroll 4. Going Up To The Country, Paint My Mailbox Blue 5. Done Changed My Way Of Living 6. She Caught The Katy And Left Me A Mule To Ride 7. The Cuckoo 8. "Ted Nugent, Double Live Gonzo (2 LPs)"

TED NUGENT - DOUBLE LIVE - GONZO! FACTORY SEALED DOUBLE LP - analog vinyl pressing If you like hard R & R you dont' have to miss it. Ted Nugent, the Motor City Madman, is really a mad rocker, full of energy and vitality. And he's also a good guitarist and he can prove it. Listening to this disc is like beeing at the show: you can feel the intensity of the sound mixed with the involvement of the guys watching the "jungle man" torturating his guitar and wandering like an obsessed along the stage. Nugent may not be the best guitarist to ever crank out a lick, or the best showman to ever grace a stage ... but combine the two together and the combined product is pure excellence. This album captures the heart and soul of a performer greater than any other live album . If you're new to the Nuge, let "Great White Buffalo" melt into your mouth for a little bit ... because you'll be lucky if you ever see Uncle Ted play it live... perhaps because it just cannot be captured any better that on this album.
