"The Beatles, Abbey Road - MFSL Factory Sealed JVC Half-Speed Japanese Pressing"
MFSL SEALED LP - THE BEATLES- ABBEY ROAD - This is a MFSL Super Virgin Vinyl (so pure that you can see through it if held up to the light) JVC Half-Speed Japanese Pressing. THIS recording is from the Victor Company of Japan for state of the art audiophile pressings.
This MFSL LP was pressed in Japan before Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs eventually pressed their Lps in the United States. The LP was Half-Speed Mastered with the Ortofon Cutting System from the Original Stereo Master Tapes. This MFSL LP has a special static free, dust free inner sleeve and heavy-duty protective packaging. This LP has been Out of Print for 20+ years and a bonafide audiophiles collectible.
The Beatles last days as a band were as productive as any major phenomenon that was about to split up. After recording LET IT BE LP, the group held on for this ambitious effort - an album that was to become their best seller.
On Side One, all four Beatles contribute with John Lennon’s hard rocking COME TOGETHER and I WANT YOU SO; George Harrison’s SOMETHING; Ringo’s OCTOPUS’S GARDEN and Paul McCartney’s MAXWELL SILVER HAMMER and OH DARLING complete this first side. A series of long fragments edited together in a sweet form dominates
Side Two. Songs like George Harrison’s HERE COMES THE SUN, BECAUSE, SUN KING, MEAN MR. MUSTARD, POLYTHENE PAM, CAME THROUGH THE BATHROOM WINDOW, NEVER GIVE ME YOUR MONEY, GOLDEN SLUMBERS, and the fitting end to The Beatles last cut forever - THE END have a way of taking you in, up and out. You can feel your energy level rise as you listen to these songs and when you hit the crescendo, they take you down gently. ABBEY ROAD has to be one of the great classic rock albums of all-times. This is one album that Beatles fans will want to add to their album collection as it shows what a force The Beatles were in rock and roll.
MFSL LIMITED EDITION. This Limited Edition FACTORY SEALED LP is an audiophile collectors item that simply gives the feeling of being directly in the studio with the artist. Used nothing but the finest lacquers. The more you play the LP, your stylus will polish the grooves and actually improve the sonics of your MFSL LP. This recording is mastered from the Original Session Tapes. This Out of Print LP has all Liner Notes, Photos, and Artwork from the Original LP faithfully recreated.

180 Gram Limited Edition Collectors masterpiece
OUT OF PRINT and one of the last copies remaining in the world factory sealed.
From one spin of THE DREAM OF THE BLUE TURTLES, Sting’s first solo release in 1985, it’s obvious that for him there would be life beyond The Police. Teamed with a band of top jazz players, he presents his musical visions that had gone unrealized while he was still constrained by his former ensemble. In style and subject matter, it’s a decidedly diverse collection of songs and the playing is excellent throughout. The love songs are mostly focused on endings or escapes, and it’s quite possible to interpret much of the imagery in reference to the bitter breakup of Police.
Tracks include: If You Love Somebody Set Them Free - Love Is The Seventh Wave - Russians - Children’s Crusade - Shadows In The Rain - We Work The Black Seam - Consider Me Gone - The Dream Of The Blue Turtles - Moon Over Bourbon Street - Fortress Around Your Heart.

When rock operas by the Kinks and the Who were relatively new and Deep Purple was working with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Pink Floyd entered the '70s with ATOM HEART MOTHER, a symphonic endeavor whose centerpieces are two long compositions divided up into movements. Starting out as a chord sequence written by Dave Gilmour, the title track became a sprawling masterpiece co-written and arranged by Scottish composer Ron Geesin. Throughout 20 minutes of movements titled "Breast Milky," "Funky Dung," and "Mind Your Throat Please," grandiose brass sections bubble over, otherworldly choruses strike a chord of impending doom, and individual Floyd contributions pop up amid all the orchestration.
The other sprawling piece, "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast," starts out with the sounds of someone puttering about in his home and occasionally muttering to himself, broken up by either the swirling keyboards of Richard Wright or the dulcet tones of David Gilmour's acoustic guitar. The remaining three tracks are Roger Waters' folkie ballad "If," the baroque psychedelic pop of Wright's "Summer '68," and Gilmour's "Fat Old Sun." ATOM HEART MOTHER is one of the band's more overtly experimental and challenging works; yet it remains a secret favorite of die-hard fans.
Editorial reviews
4 Stars - Excellent - ...criminally underrated--the long title suite, benefitting from Ron Geesin's crazed but accomplished musical wit, is among their best work...

These Simply Vinyl Silver Editions are now starting to reach the $100 value per copy in the Vinyl Collector's Market. All the titles Mymusicfix is listing in this newsletter are what we classify as "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow" Collector's titles.
The third album in the trilogy of brilliant Beach Boys albums which started with PET SOUNDS (SVLP149), went on to SMILEY SMILE (SVLP219) and now finishes with the excellent WILD HONEY (No.7 UK, No.24 US 68).
This album once again shows off Brian Wilsons extraordinary talent for song writing and production via both the severely under-rated >Wild Honey> (No.29 UK, No.31 US 67) and the brilliant > Darling > (No.19 US 67, No.11 UK 68). Aside from all the other gems on this album, it also features the original version of > Here Come The Night > which they later re-recorded and released for their venture into the world of disco music. Even though WILD HONEY has often been written off as a back to basics album and was recorded in Brian Wilsons living room, it is still an excellent yardstick of the band?s history in one of their most turbulent periods.
Plus, its still the Beach Boys AND on 180 gram vinyl which makes it a must-have purchase anyway!!
Tracks include: Wild Honey - Aren't You Glad - I Was Made To Love Her - Country Air - A Thing Or Two Darlin' - I'd Love Just Once To See You - Here Comes The Night - Let The Wind Blow - How She Boogalooed It - Mama Says

So enjoy being one of the last people in the world to get your butt up and flip a side of vinyl. It’s the purest form of listening pleasure , not to mention the artistic value of owning a 12” cover of art, -- like posters of your favorite artist.
With his first release, TUBULAR BELLS Mike Oldfield created a genre that can best be termed "symphonic folk-rock." Ommadawn, his third album, continued in a similar though somewhat more ambitious and less portentous vein. Including the African percussion group Jabula and Paddy Moloney of the CHIEFTAINS on uilleann pipes, this is Oldfield's most easily palatable release. Oldfield plays almost 20 instruments here. The two instrumental pieces that make up nearly the entire album are similar to ambient music in intent and effect, with an almost constant recycling of themes. The album closes with "On Horseback," a classic piece of English whimsy.

1989's Straight Outta Compton, by Dre's previous outfit N.W.A., may have shined the public spotlight on the genre, but The Chronic legitimized it. That is not to say that Snoop Doggy Dogg (The Chronic marks his debut) and Dre's raps are for everyone; the subject matter is the sex, drugs, violence, and politics of South Central Los Angeles, and the phrasing is explicit, to say the least. But The Chronic's real genius is the music. By breeding hip-hop, jazz (studio instrumentation includes saxophones and flutes), funk, and soul (sampled artists include Parliament, Donny Hathaway, and Isaac Hayes), Dre creates downright intoxicating grooves. If you can't feel The Chronic pulsating through your veins, maybe your heart's not pumping.

Limited to just 5,000 U.S. copies!Upgraded packaging includes two 180-gram LPs, a 28-page 12" booklet.
Love is an unprecedented approach to the Beatles' catalog, featuring wildly alternative mixes and "mash-ups," the combining of two or more Beatles tunes mixed together for a wholly unique song.
The project came about when Paul and Ringo, along with Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia Harrison, approached legendary producer Sir George Martin about making experimental mixes from their master tapes. Actually, Martin says that the concept was born several years before when George Harrison and Guy Laliberte, the founder of Cirque du Soleil, began to explore the possibilities of a collaboration between Cirque du Soleil and the Beatles. Out of that vision, Love was born. Martin and his son, Giles, have created a completely unique soundscape. Says Martin: "My brief was to create a soundscape of around one and a half hour's length using any sound I needed from the original Beatles multi-track recordings. It was an offer one could hardly refuse."
Opinions will no doubt vary as to the validity of these new mixes. Purists may be offended. Those thirsting for new Beatles material may be thrilled. One thing's for certain: Love will be among the most talked about releases in many years.
"This album puts the Beatles back together again, because suddenly there's John and George with me and Ringo," said Paul McCartney. "It's kind of magical." Track Listings

Their first-ever album, raw and rough and still very rock & roll. Lennon and McCartney begin to flex their writing muscles and had already scored two UK hits when this appeared, but they still relied heavily on the cover material to see them through. They were an unknown quantity, still to launch a million bands and take pop music to places it had never dreamed off. Just the beginning!!

They still had plenty of covers to fill out the running time, but the Lennon-McCartney writing team was gathering steam and beginning to knock out pop classics as if they were pulling them out of thin air. "All My Loving" and "I Wanna Be your Man" come from this record, issued hurriedly to capitalize on English Beatlemania. But even when they were laying into some classic Chuck Berry, by this time the Beatles had acquired a unique sound in the blend of John's and Paul's voices, while George was coming on by leaps and bounds as a guitar player.
BEATLES FOR SALE - BLACK STEREO VINYL
BEATLES FOR SALE -- BEATLES FOR SALE came out for the 1964 Christmas market. The Beatles, whose instincts for what worked musically were so strong that they could basically do no wrong--any record that has "Baby's in Black," "I Don't Want to Spoil the Party" and the delectable "Eight Days a Week" on it is only "minor" in the most relative sense. And, though their voices had been frazzled a bit by constant touring, they revved them up for some joyous shouting, and indulged their fondness for American country in subtle, playful ways.

HELP - BLACK VINYL
HELP -- How John Lennon's confessional song became the title for a silly James Bond spoof I really don't know. The funny thing is, it works both ways--as a young man's personal statement about learning to open up to others, and as the frantic theme for an exotic espionage chase comedy starring those lovable mop-tops (this time in color). Like A Hard Day's Night, only the first "side" of this album actually contains songs from the movie--the biggest hits being the eponymous cry for assistance and "Ticket to Ride." But part 2 has a few nice tunes as well, like "It's Only Love," "I've Just Seen a Face," and a little ditty called "Yesterday." And I always love it when they do an all-out screamer like "Dizzy Miss Lizzy," which sounds like John's raucous answer to Paul's "Kansas City/Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey" vocal on Beatles for Sale. Of course, it's essential--as are all the Beatles' soundtracks (all the Beatles' albums).

8. Any Time At All
9. I'll Cry Instead
10. Things We Said Today
11. When I Get Home
12. You Can't Do That
13. I'll Be Back
That dramatic guitar chord that kicks of A Hard Day's Night (album, song, movie) still jumps right out at you, slaps you in the face, and jump-starts your heart. And you know what? Both the music and the film are still as crisp and lively as they were in 1964. Of course, only the first seven songs are actually in the movie (and they are the strongest of the bunch, from the rousing rock & roll of the title track and the hit single "Can't Buy Me Love," to the beautiful ballads "If I Fell" and "And I Love Her"). But nobody's going to complain about having songs like "I'll Cry Instead" and "Things We Said Today" in the second half of the record; they sure don't feel like leftovers. Yet another high-point for John, Paul, George, and Ringo who hit the highest heights imaginable
RUBBER SOUL - BLACK STEREO VINYL

The 14-song U.K. Edition - the version now available in this Limited Edition has so many classics: “Drive My Car” and “Nowhere Man” (both omitted from the U.S. edition). The transition from mop-tops to experimenting musicians began with RUBBER SOUL! John wrote one of his most sensible love songs with “In My Life”. “The Word” can be read as a pre-psych warning shot; the sitar-laden “Norwegian Wood” and the evocative “Girl” (written the last night of the sessions) stand as turning points in John Lennon’s work. George also emerges with the McGinnis “If I Needed Someone.” One of the greatest Albums of all time. Other tracks include: Drive My Car – You Won’t See Me - Nowhere Man - Think For Yourself - Michelle - What Goes On - Girl - I’m Looking Through You - In My Life - Wait - If I Needed Someone - Run For Your Life.

REVOLVER - BLACK STEREO VINYL
REVOLVER wouldn't remain the Beatles' most ambitious LP for long, but many fans remember it as their best. An object lesson in fitting great songwriting into experimental production and genre play, this is also a record whose influence extends far beyond mere they-was-the-greatest cheerleading. Putting McCartney's more traditionally melodic "Here, There and Everywhere" and "For No One" alongside Lennon's direct-hit sneering ("Dr. Robert") and dreamscapes ("I'm Only Sleeping," "Tomorrow Never Knows") and Harrison's peaking wit ("Taxman") was as conceptually brilliant as anything Sgt. Pepper attempted, and more subtly fulfilling. A must.

SGT. PEPPERS - BLACK STEREO VINYL
SGT. PEPPER’S - THE BEATLES – SGT. PEPPER’S LONELY HEART’S CLUB BAND – U.K. PRESSING – SEALED . This album has been direct-metal-mastered from a digitally re-mastered original tape to give the best possible sound quality. Mymusicfix has listened to it – AND IT SOUNDS GREAT!! Before The Beatles released SGT. PEPPER’S, both John Lennon and Paul McCartney were blown away by the Beach Boys recent release of PET SOUNDS and were inspired to transform rock music into an actual art. In 1967 spanning 129 days (perhaps the most creative 129 days in the history of rock music), this crowning achievement of The Beatles and George Martin --especially considering they were working only with 4-track tape machines-- created an undeniable work of art which remains after 30+ years one of the most influential albums of all-time. From John Lennon’s evocative word/sound pictures (the trippy LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS, the carnival-like BEING FOR THE BENEFIT OF MR. KITE) and Paul McCartney’s musical hall style WHEN I’M 64 to George Harrison’s Eastern leanings WITHIN WITHOUT YOU to Ringo’s A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS and the avante-garde mini-suite A DAY IN THE LIFE, SGT PEPPER’S was a milestone for both the sixties and pop culture

THE WHITE LP (2LP SET) - BLACK STEREO VINYL
The WHITE ALBUM was meant to be the record that brought them back to earth after three years of studio experimentation. Instead, it took them all over the place, continuing to burst the envelope of pop music. Lennon and McCartney were still at the height of their powers, with Lennon and McCartney growing into rock's towering figures. From Beach Boys knock-offs to reggae and to the unknown ("Revolution #9"), this has it all. Some records have legend written all over them; this is one.

The album feels even more like a collection of singles (instead of an actual movie soundtrack) than Help! or A Hard Day's Night, but maybe that's because every song sounds like it could have been a hit single. " Even George's "Blue Jay Way" paints a vivid sound-portrait in fascinating detail. Consider Joni Mitchell's "Car on the Hill" from Court and Spark to be a companion piece about sitting in the Hollywood Hills, waiting for somebody to show up.
This album features the two 45 rpm masterpieces that sum up the quintessential best of Lennon and McCartney at this stage of their development: Paul's "Penny Lane" and John's "I Am the Walrus."
LET IT BE - STEREO BLACK VINYL
LET IT BE often gets a bad rap. Unfairly, as it's often as charming, well written, and rocking as the Beatles' "better" albums; it's also more outright fun than Abbey Road, the masterpiece it followed into the stores. With Lennon and McCartney working together on the perfect "I've Got a Feeling," "Two of Us," and "Dig a Pony," it's hard to believe these guys were about to go their separate ways. Tracks include:
1. Two Of Us
2. Dig A Pony
3. Across The Universe
4. I Me Mine
5. Dig It
6. Let It Be
7. Maggie Mae
8. I've Got A Feeling

ABBEY ROAD - STEREO BLACK VINYL
LET IT BE NAKED - with all inclusive contents - 20 page booklet and picture sleeve 45 RPM 7” disc. - STEREO BLACK VINYL
The Beatles have often spoken about how Phil Spector drowned their sound in orchestration on the original Let It Be, released in 1970, and Paul McCartney has vowed to rewrite history by having the version originally intended finally released and that's what we have here.
Here it is with an additional 7” Disc of Fly On The Wall, a unique insight into the Beatles at work in rehearsal and in the studio during January, 1969.

Alot of people who claim to be Red Hot Chili Pepper fans are always talking about how great of an album Californication and By The Way are. Now don't get me wrong they are amazing albums, but I think that alot of the Chili Peppers creativeness comes from their older albums, especially The Uplift Mofo Party Plan. My two favorite songs on this album are Walkin' On Down The Road and Organic Anti-Beat Box Band. These songs show that this band doesn't think inside the box. They always do something entirely different and this album shows that. Like on the song Behind The Sun, Hillel plays the sitar and the song sounds INCREDIBLY COOL with it. And Flea is amazing throughout the entire album, especially on Skinny Sweaty Man and Love Trilogy. Anthony Kiedis' vocals show that you dont have stay within the limits of being a singer, and you can be totaly crazy and it sounds amazingly good, and it just goes so well with the song and style of music. Jack Irons style of drumming goes insanely well with Flea's bass style and it makes the songs sound really good. Overall this album is definitely one of the Chili Peppers most creative and inspirational albums ever. And if you seriously want to become a true fan of them, you better pick this album up

Classic Records has proven to be an Audiophile Company second to none in the new millennium. But Classic Records, unlike other top Audiophile Companies, does not place Limited Edition numbers on their LP jackets.
5 years ago, Classic Records changed their vinyl weight from 180 gram to 200 gram. Mymusicfix knows no expert that has been able to decipher a true difference in quality with this 20 gram weight increase.
IN FACT MOST COLLECTORS BELEIVE THESE 180 GRAM PRESSINGS WERE CLASSIC RECORDS FINEST HOUR.
This Genesis A NURSERY CRYME Pressing has been critically acclaimed as the quietest and finest ever produced of this recording. It is a new listening experience that will virtually feel as if you were in the studio with them.
Enter Phil Collins and Steve Hackett for a set that elipsed its predecessor (seventies TRESPASS) in technical ability. The 10-minute opener "The Music Box" benefiting from jazz influenced playing was a far cry from the delicate folk rock tapestries and chiming 12-string guitars of its predecessor. The infusion of a semi-classical structural sensibility had become more prevelant. Fragile ballads are at a minimum replaced by driving classic rock epics full with heavy guitar, baselines, and sweeping mellotrone. The sound occasionally recalls the refined but uncompromising instrumental attack of the Nice (particularly in Tony Banks/Keith Emerson-ish blast of organ bravura).
The interlocking guitar and folky moments are still present, however, providing contrast to NURSERY CRYME's bolder moments. The group's sophisticated compositional style and Peter Gabriel's eccenric lyrics are at their height on "The Return Of The Giant Hogweed", "The Fountain Of Slamacis" and "The Music Box
SELLING ENGLAND BY THE POUND - Released in 1973 (the same year as their Live set) Genesis was by now one of the fastest rising groups on the pop scene. The band's blend of classical instinct, theatrical presentation and whimsical, complex and daring arrangements put them in the same class as Yes, ELP, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, and Jethro Tull as leaders of the British Progressive Rock era. Back in the studio where they could continue to experiment, the resulting Selling England By The Pound is considered (by some) equal to their masterpiece Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. Truly a group effort and a great album of the 70s! In shades of things to come, drummer Phil Collins makes his vocal debut here on "More Fool Me".

LIVE - From very early on, Genesis was intensely interested in the staging of live shows. This wasn’t just a concert, and this isn’t just a live album. It is filled with moments of power (the closing section of “Musical Box”) -- not so subtle political commentary (“Get ‘Em Out By Friday”) and even humor when a bass string is errantly sounded between songs and Peter Gabriel announces “That was an unaccompanied bass solo by Michael Rutherford.” It is a perfect representation of a group of brilliant young men who took their music very seriously, but never themselves. This recording shows them in their elemental form.
Other included tracks are: The Return Of The Giant Hogweed -The Knife – Watcher Of The Skies.

PHIL COLLINS - HELLO I MUST BE GOING - If you are considering divorcing a rock star, let HELLO, I MUST BE GOING serve as warning of what you’re likely to face once the papers have been signed and the settlements agreed upon. Collins got the last word on his relationship with first wife, Jill (he actually addresses her by name on the album), and managed to deliver it to millions of homes via this album.
Tracks include - I Don’t Care Anymore - I Cannot Believe It’s True - Do You Know, Do You Care? - It Don’t Matter To Me - Like China - Thru These Walls - Don’t Let Him Steal Your Heart Away - West Side - Why Can’t It Wait Till Morning - and a lively remake of The Supremes, You Can’t Hurry Love.
MIKE RUTHERFORD & THE MECHANICS - THE LIVING YEARS
Paul Young, one of the two lead singers for MIKE & THE MECHANICS, unexpectedly passed away in 2000 from a heart attack at the age of 53. He was a brilliant singer, with a full, rich, powerful voice, as well as an amazing performer. Besides Paul Young’s amazing vocal work throughout (and Paul Carrack’s too, of course), what strikes the listener about LIVING YEARS is how wonderfully crafted each and every song is. Whether rockers, ballads, or mid-tempo stuff, Mike Rutherford (of Genesis) and the boys have made a pop-rock album that simply glows.
The album immediately gets your attention with the striking “Nobody’s Perfect,”: sung marvelously by Paul Young. This is followed by the classic title song, sung beautifully by Paul Carrack, about losing someone you love before telling them everything you wanted to say to them. “Seeing Is Believing” is very catchy and is another great vocal showcase for Paul Young, “Nobody Knows” perfectly captures the mood of reminiscing over someone you’ve let go in a relationship, and “Poor boy down” is a strong punchy tune that again allows Paul Young to strut his stuff at the mike. The band goes into rocker-overdrive with the powerful “Blame”, showcasing Mike Rutherford’s furious attack on the guitar during the bridge.

HELP -
HELP -- How John Lennon's confessional song became the title for a silly James Bond spoof I really don't know.
1. Help!
2. The Night Before
3. You've Got To Hide Your Love Away
4. I Need You
5. Another Girl
6. You're Going To Lose That Girl
7. Ticket To Ride
8. Act Naturally
9. It's Only Love
10. You Like Me Too Much
11. Tell Me What You See
12. I've Just Seen A Face
13. Yesterday
14. Dizzy Miss Lizzie
A HARD DAYS NIGHT -
HARD DAY’S NIGHT –
A Hard Day's Night
2. I Should Have Known Better
3. If I Fell
4. I'm Happy Just To Dance With You
5. And I Love Her
6. Tell Me Why
7. Can't Buy Me Love
RUBBER SOUL -
RUBBER SOUL – . Rank them how you like, RUBBER SOUL is an undeniable pivotal point in the Fab Four’s varied discography no matter where, or how, you first heard it.

REVOLVER -
REVOLVER wouldn't remain the Beatles' most ambitious LP for long, but many fans remember it as their best. A must.

SGT. PEPPERS -

THE WHITE LP (2LP SET) -
The WHITE ALBUM was meant to be the record that brought them back to earth after three years of studio experimentation.

LET IT BE -
LET IT BE often gets a bad rap.
9. One After 909
10. The Long And Winding Road
11. For You Blue
12. Get Back
ABBEY ROAD -
The Beatles last days as a band were as productive as any major phenomenon that was about to split up.

From 1975's SIREN through the rest of Roxy Music's albums and his concurrent solo work, Bryan Ferry was leading up to AVALON. The last Roxy Music studio album (it was followed by numerous collections, both live and otherwise), it is the perfect culmination of Ferry's constant striving for the ultimate sophistication. On AVALON, the styles that the band had explored in the past--funk, jazz, and rock--come together to create a texture of remarkable subtlety. The title track is Ferry's finest moment. His suave voice turns the romance all the way up, while the band plays in a smooth, light jazz-funk groove and guitar notes shimmer like the sun on water.
"While My Heart is Still Beating" features Andy Mackay's saxophone drifting in around Phil Manzanera's languid guitar lines. "True to Life," a ballad shot through with reverberation, is the kind of song aching to be played late at night with the lights off. From the almost jaw-dropping elegance of the opening track, "More Than This," to the closing "Tara," a sparse, evocative instrumental, AVALON is Roxy Music's masterpiece.

...a coherent piece of work with a high strike rate....sparkling pop...

"The Beatles, Anthology II (3 LPs) - EuroSealed"
BEATLES ANTHOLOGY II – 3-LPs - 45-Tracks - Euro Sealed LP. These U.K pressings are sent with the vinyl outside of the jackets when being shipped to the U.S. to protect the covers from damage. Once inside the our wherehouse we then protectively seal the title in a loose re-sealable plastic cover to ensure the quality of the product. This title is brand new & never played condition.
128 Minutes in length and long out of print.
If you have gone out and purchased the new Beatles DVD set there is a new (never available 81 minute bonus DVD) with Paul, George, Ringo and George Martin talking about the importance of these anthology CD/LP collections. When you listen to them on that DVD you will understand the importance/history these Beatles and their engineer put to these anthology collections and why you should collect them.
There a must for any true collector. It's so rare that on some of these tracks "The Beatles" themselves had a hard time remembering who was participating on some of these masters tracks. These Anthology 3 LP sets (One, Two and Three) are long out of print and are becoming rarer and more valuable day by day especially in these LP pressings. Enjoy being one of the last people in the world to own this rare piece of The Beatles history on vinyl.
The second in the series of Rare unreleased Beatles recordings covers the group’s famed middle period featuring George Harrison’s classic track 11 out-take of TAXMAN. "TAXMAN", the opening title on REVOLVER was Harrison’s acerbic and witty view of the inescapable realities of life. Track 12 was the Master Recording – this being a reduction or bounce of Track 11. (These are terms for a recording process taken up by The Beatles around this time, where, by merging two or more existing tracks of a tape while copying it across to a second tape, vacant tracks are created allowing for further overdubbing.
Abbey Road was still using 4-Track Recording Machines in 1966 so this process was often necessary.) Issued here for the first time on Vinyl is that Track 11 not dis-similar to the Master but with some notable differences, principally in the clean full ending (instead of the repeated guitar solo) and the “anybody got a bit of money?” backing vocals (instead of the Mr. Wilson Mr. Heath reference).
George Harrison penned ONLY A NORTHERN SONG. Although not issued on disc until YELLOW SUBMARINE soundtrack Album in January of 1969, Harrison’s ONLY A NORTHERN SONG was written and first intended for SGT. PEPPER, its place in the recording chronology coming between other PEPPER tracks, FIXING A HOLE and BEING FOR THE BENEFIT OF MR. KITE. The Master of ONLY A NORTHERN SONG combined Track 3 (with overdubs) and a “reduction” of this Track 11 (with further overdub), simultaneously mixed into Mono. The mixes presented here in Stereo and slightly sped up, is Track 3 the basic track from February 13th, 1967 with bass and guitar added on April 20th with unissued vocal tracks (yielding a number of lyric vibrations from the Master) overdub onto a separate “reduction”, Track 12, flown in.
The last Harrison penned track within ANTHOLOGY 2 is the Master of George Harrison’s composition that opened Side 2 of SGT. PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND, presented here in a fashion not previously available on Vinyl remixed, without George’s vocal from the different original 4-track tapes that formed that Master. WITHIN YOU WITHOUT YOU (instrumental) what remains, audible to the fore is a combination of tamboura, tabla, dilruba and swaramandal tracks recorded in March with violins, cellos, and George’s sitar track overdubbed on April 3, 1967.
ANTHOLOGY 2 features out-takes, demos and alternate versions of songs from the albums, HELP, RUBBER SOUL, REVOLVER, SGT. PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND, and MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR. There are also three previously unreleased Beatles Songs from 1965, several live cuts and the second of The Beatles new recordings, “Real Love”, which began as a late seventies demo and completed in 1995 by George Harrison, Paul Mc Cartney and Ringo Starr.

The nicest thing you can do for your stylus and your ears. The ultimate record -- the way music was meant to be heard and of superior quality for any Audiophile.
This has to be one of the all-time greatest albums by one of the most creative groups ever. Why? Well try such phenomenal breathtaking classics as “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” (No.8 US ’66), “Sloop John B” (No.2 UK, No.3 US ’66) and the truly timeless beautiful “God Only Knows” (No.2 UK, No.39 US ’66) - each and every one being a gem and as such easily put the Beach Boys into the same creative stratosphere as the Beatles.
PET SOUNDS is the album which managed to transcend the Beach Boys from a bunch of sun-drenched beach bums to west coast musical geniuses in one fell swoop. In fact, Brian Wilson himself actively credits the Beatles RUBBER SOUL as being the catalyst for the standard of work achieved on PET SOUNDS. Listening to the album again on 180 gram vinyl for the first time in years, it’s obvious that “Pet Sounds” is one of the masterpieces of the millennium.
Tracks include: Wouldn't It Be Nice - You Still Believe In Me - That's Not Me - Don't Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder) - I'm Waiting For The Day - Let's Go Away For A While - Sloop John B - God Only Knows - I Know There's An Answer - Here Today - I Just Wasn't Made For These Times - Pet Sounds - Caroline No - Hang On To Your Ego (Bonus Track)

"Alan Parsons, I Robot - HDAD - LAST COPY"
DVD Audio HDAD Master Tape Sound, double sided
I ROBOT – The man behind the recording of “Dark Side Of The Moon” is none other than Alan Parsons. If you want to hear what is his definitive recording and a bit of the Dark Side, then this is it. I ROBOT was produced and engineered by Alan Parsons at Abbey Road Studios and is an audiophile’s dream recording,.
The 24/96 24/192 HDAD reveals ever nuance of the ¼”Analog Original Master used for the transfer with Alan present at the mastering sessions with Bernie Grundman.
Tracks include: I Robot – I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You – Some Other Time – Breakdown – Don’t Let It Show – The Voice – Nucleus – Day After Day (The Show Must Go On) – Total Eclipse – Genesis Ch. 1, V.32
The Classic 24/96 24/192 Digital Audio Disc HDAD is designed to be an audiophile musical reference. The process starts with the encoding of an analog signal from a live microphone feed or more commonly from an analog master tape. The highly sophisticated Analog to Digital converter (A to D) samples the analog signal 96,000 times per second (96kHz) and assigns a numerical value to each sample point.. the 96kHz sampling rate is more than twice the 44,100 (44kHz) sampling rate used on standard CDs. The numerical value assigned at 96kHz – about every 10.4 microseconds – is stored as a 24 bit digital word. The significance of a 24 bit digital word is that there are 16.8 million different potential values for each 24 bit word. By contrast there are only 65,536 different potential values for a 16 bit word on a normal CD. The additional 8 bits on a DAD allows for over 16 million additional voltage values to represent the original analog signal. Further, 24 bit resolution offers 144dB of dynamic range from the softest to the loudest musical note. At 144 dB of dynamic range we greatly exceed even the dynamic range available on the world’s finest analog tape machines. For the first time in history of digital audio, we can provide Master Tape Sound MTS.
After the analog signal is encoded, the resulting 24 bit/96kHz digital data stream is stored on a large computer hard disk. The raw data is then transferred to a post production facility for “authoring” – a process that results in the creation of a digital tape called a DLT that is sent to the disc manufacturing plant. At the plant, the DLT is used to make a “glass master” which produces stampers that are used to injection mold DAD discs. In all, the process is quite a bit more involved than making CDs but is worth the extra effort when you hear what this technological wonder has to offer.

"Alan Parsons, Eye In The Sky 180 Gram LP"
THE ALAN PARSONS PROJECT – EYE IN THE SKY
180 Gram Sealed LP
EYE IN THE SKY
Worth it for the opening cut alone. Remember the Chicago Bulls in Jordan's heyday? They'd introduce the Bulls with the lights turned out (back before every team did that) and this song, "Sirius," blaring. Even if you weren't a fan, you couldn't help but have goose bumps. But you've never heard that tune sound like this!
Alan Parsons, who first took up an apprenticeship as a sound engineer at EMI and was later responsible for several Paul McCartney productions and the Pink Floyd album Dark Side of the Moon at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, drew upon his experience in order to further his solo career. While the co-producer Eric Woolfson wrote the songs, Parsons – who had an uncanny feeling for sound – conjured up a lush mélange of synthetic and natural sounds.

ABBEY ROAD -
The Beatles last days as a band were as productive as any major phenomenon that was about to split up.
LET IT BE -
LET IT BE often gets a bad rap.
9. One After 909
10. The Long And Winding Road
11. For You Blue
12. Get Back
RUBBER SOUL – . Rank them how you like, RUBBER SOUL is an undeniable pivotal point in the Fab Four’s varied discography no matter where, or how, you first heard it.

A must.

SGT. PEPPER’S - THE BEATLES – SGT. PEPPER’S LONELY HEART’S CLUB BAND – U.K. PRESSING – SEALED . KITE) and Paul McCartney’s musical hall style WHEN I’M 64 to George Harrison’s Eastern leanings WITHIN WITHOUT YOU to Ringo’s A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS and the avante-garde mini-suite A DAY IN THE LIFE, SGT PEPPER’S was a milestone for both the sixties and pop culture.

1. Help!
2. The Night Before
3. You've Got To Hide Your Love Away
4. I Need You
5. Another Girl
6. You're Going To Lose That Girl
7. Ticket To Ride
8. Act Naturally
9. It's Only Love
10. You Like Me Too Much
11. Tell Me What You See
12. I've Just Seen A Face
13. Yesterday
14. Dizzy Miss Lizzie
HARD DAY’S NIGHT –
A Hard Day's Night
2. I Should Have Known Better
3. If I Fell
4. I'm Happy Just To Dance With You
5. And I Love Her
6. Tell Me Why
7. Can't Buy Me Love

2. I'm a Loser
3. Baby's in Black
4. Rock & Roll Music

6. Mr. Moonlight

8. Eight Days a Week

11. I Don't Want to Spoil the Party
12. What You're Doing
WITH THE BEATLES -
1.It Won't Be Long
2. All I've Got to Do
3. All My Loving
4. Don't Bother Me
5. Little Child
6. Till There Was You
7. Please Mr. Postman
8. Roll over Beethoven
9. Hold Me Tight
10. You've Really Got a Hold on Me
11. I Wanna Be Your Man
12. Devil in Her Heart
13. Not a Second Time
14. Money (That's What I Want)
