"The Eagles, The Eagles 180 Gram LP"

THE EAGLES “THE EAGLES” Sealed 180 Gram Analogue Virgin Heavy Vinyl Pressing, blows away the 70's pressing. Don't Miss out. These FOREIGN pressings are sent with the vinyl outside of the jackets when being shipped to the U.S. to protect the covers from damage. Once inside the our wherehouse we then protectively seal the title in a loose re-sealable plastic cover to ensure the quality of the product. This title is brand new & never played condition. Don't Miss out. Steeped in the country-rock sound of the Byrds and Flying Burrito Brothers (guitarist/banjo player Bernie Leadon had been a member of the latter) and the burgeoning So-Cal singer-songwriter movement (Jackson Browne contributes to a pair of songs on the album), The Eagles 1972 debut is full of breezy hit singles ("Take It Easy," "Peaceful Easy Feeling") and stinging rock ("Witchy Woman," "Take the Devil"). Thanks to Leadon's presence, there's a bluegrass feel to songs like "Nightingale" and "Early Bird." Mostly, though, the album offers a sampling of the L.A. scene's laid-back early-70s optimism, with just a hint of the darkness to come. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Track Listings 1. Miller forsook his love of the blues for this and its sister project Book Of Dreams. In turning to mainstream pop/rock he became a huge star and developed the knack of delivering high-quality three-minute songs that were perfect for FM radio. The album is linked by Miller's fascination with electronic sounds, sandwiched between the irresistible title track, the Bonnie and Clyde tale of 'Take The Money And Run', the irritatingly simple 'Rock 'n' Me' and the subdued 'The Window', with its quirky lyric 'ask my baby what she wants to be, she says a monkey in a tree'. His baby replies 'there's nothing greater than love', true enough. After all, it was Miller who rhymed 'northern California' with 'girls are warm yeah'.

THE EAGLES - HOTEL CALIFORNIA & DESPERDO - THE EAGLES THE EAGLES & ONE OF THESE NIGHT - 4LP'S - TWO LONG OUT OF PRINT BOX SETS. THIS IS OUR ONLY SET ONE OF THESE NIGHTS - The Eagles exploded on the charts in 1975 with One of These Nights, the first of four straight albums by the band to reach No. 1. The album was their most varied to date, with the discofied title track, the stately waltz "Take It To the Limit," and the tough, cynical country rocker "Lyin' Eyes." The album contains a couple of unusual numbers as well, including Bernie Leadon's psychedelic banjo showcase "Journey of the Sorcerer" and "I Wish You Peace," which Leadon wrote with his then-girlfriend, Patti Davis. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Track Listings 1. One of These Nights 2. Too Many Hands 3. Hollywood Waltz 4. Journey of the Sorcerer 5. Lyin' Eyes 6. Take It to the Limit 7. Visions 8. After the Thrill Is Gone 9. "Jackson Browne, Running On Empty - CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK"

JACKSON BROWNE RUNNING ON EMPTY 5.1 CD + DVD SEALED - OVER 200 NEVER - BEFORE - SEEN TOUR PHOTO'S & 2 EXCLUSIVE VIDEO MONTAGES. INCLUDES 2 PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED TRACKS. Recorded onstage, backstage, in three different hotel rooms, and on a Continental Silver Eagle tour bus during a cross-country 1977 tour, Running on Empty is a paean to life on the road. Jackson Browne's sense of camaraderie extended to the road crew, if "The Load Out," a love song to his roadies, is to be believed. Browne is much more blithe here than in his earlier outings. But Empty also represents a fleeting lighthearted moment for the singer-cum-poet whose concerns became more political than personal after its appearance. Beneath its flippant surface, this disc is a look at the lengths Browne and his friends went to avoid facing the demands of the touring life. What with the frequent drug references, misogynistic references to on-the-fly pairings with women, and the sobering line in the title track--"I look around for the friends I used to pull me through / Looking into their eyes, I see them running, too"--one realizes that Browne was much more comfortable on the road than off. Out of Print FACTORY SEALED Analog LP with small cutout hole on jacket but contains all the original LP picture sleeve and inserts. analog vinyl pressing - the way music was meant to be heard. Out of Print forever!! With his husky, soulful baritone, Michael McDonald became one of the most distinctive and popular vocalists to emerge from the laid-back California pop/rock scene of the late '70s. McDonald found the middle ground between blue-eyed soul and smooth soft rock, a sound that made him a star. He initially essayed his signature style with the Doobie Brothers, ushering in the group's most popular period with hits like "What a Fool Believes" and "Taking It to the Streets." McDonald disbanded the group in 1982 to pursue a solo career, which was initially quite successful, but by the end of the decade his popularity had faded away, since he was reluctant to work regularly and hesitant to update his sound to suit shifting popular tastes. After singing backup on several Steely Dan albums in the mid-'70s, Michael McDonald joined the Doobie Brothers in 1977. He was largely responsible for moving the group away from boogie rock and toward polished, jazzy blue-eyed soul. Prior to the Doobies' farewell tour in 1982, he sang harmony on several hit singles, including tracks by Donna Summer, Toto, Kenny Loggins, and Christopher Cross. As it turned out, McDonald's solo work was a cross between the Doobie Brothers' white-bread soul and Cross' adult contemporary ballads. McDonald released his solo debut, If That's What It Takes, in 1982. The record climbed to number six on the strength of the number four single "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)," which also crossed over into the R&B Top Ten. In 1983, he had another Top 20 pop hit (and a Top Ten R&B hit) with his duet with James Ingram, "Yah Mo B There." McDonald didn't deliver his second solo album, No Lookin' Back, until 1985. The record wasn't as successful as its predecessor, producing only one moderate hit in its title track. He bounced back the following year, when his duet with Patti LaBelle, "On My Own," shot to number one and "Sweet Freedom," his theme for the Billy Crystal/Gregory Hines comedy Running Scared, climbed into the Top Ten. Instead of capitalizing on his revitalized success, McDonald didn't release another album until 1990. The resulting Take It to Heart was a bomb, peaking at number 110. Two years later, his fortunes were revived somewhat when he sang on Aretha Franklin's minor hit "Ever Changing Times" and toured with Donald Fagen's New York Rock and Soul Revue. The following year, he released Blink of an Eye, which was ignored. In 1994, "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)" was sampled heavily in Warren G's smash hit "Regulate." By 1996, McDonald had returned to the Doobie Brothers, touring the oldies circuit with the reunited group. The following year, McDonald released Blue Obsession, his first album of new material in three years. He released a Christmas album (In the Spirit: A Christmas Album) in 2001, and began a series of recordings devoted to the Motown catalog with 2003's Motown. Motown Two and Soul Speak followed in 2004 and 2008 respectively. DOOBIE BROTHERS - ONE STEP CLOSER - ORIGINAL 1980 RELEASE - 1. Dedicate This Heart 2. Real Love 3. No Stoppin' Us Now 4. You Show Me FM SOUNDTRACK - This DOUBLE VINYL collection is the soundtrack from the 1978 ill-fated movie. Pushing the visuals aside, the collection includes a majority of the top selling classic rock artists performing their classic hit singles that dominated the airwaves in the 1970's. Walter Brecker and Donald Fagen/Steely Dan are represented with their newly recorded title track that opens the collection and reprise that closes out the second disc. Their first major chart success, the relentless "Do It Again," is also included. The Eagles are represented as a group on "Life In The Fast Lane," from the "Hotel California" album, while there are 2 solo members with individual tracks: Joe Walsh does a parody of fortune and fame on the tongue and cheek track, "Life's Been Good." Randy Meisner performs on "Bad Man." One of the most popular female vocalists of the 1970's was Linda Ronstadt. She has 2 live performances on the album, which she also performed in the film, "Tumbling Dice," (a Rolling Stones track) and "Poor Poor Pitiful Me." Boston's feel good debut single, "More Than A Feeling" is on the soundtrack, which was extracted from their multiplatinum eponyomous debut that sold more copies that any debut album during its inception. Queen rocks with their stadium anthum, "We Will Rock You." Steve Miller soars on "Fly Like An Eagle." Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker's trademark sound is heard on "Breakdown." Lou Gramm's high pitched vocals are evident on the track "Cold As Ice." The Doobie Brothers "It Keeps You Runnin'" is also included in this important rock and roll collection. The soundtrack also sports Jimmy Buffet's electric performance on "Livingston Saturday Night." Folker and adult contemporary stylist, Dan Fogelberg delivers one of his most emotionally wrenching ballads with "There's A Place In The World For A Gambler," while New York's own, Billy Joel sings his trademark ballad and grammy award winning song of the year, "Just The Way You Are." James Taylor is represented with the mid-tempo love song,"Your Smiling Face" and jazz musician Boz Scaggs performs his up tempo signature track "Lido Shuffle," that originaly appeared on his "Silk Degrees" album. This collection brings the listener back to a more innocent time in rock and roll (if that was possible), when the emphasis was primarily on the music itself and the live performances. It is essential listening for avid fans of the rock and roll medium. Skip the movie and go straight for the soundtrack! Track Listings Disc: 1 1. FM - Becker, Walter - STEELY DAN 2. Classic Original Master 1st Generation 180 Gram Pressing, "Out of Print, Last Copies" Stephen Stills - MANASSAS - Double LP Steven Stills/Manassas 2 LPs After stops in The Buffalo Springfield, CSN(&Y) and a few solo albums for the Atlantic label, Stills recruited musical kindred-spirits including the likes of Chris Hillman (The Byrds) to form Manassas. It also includes a 64-page booklet containing extensive liner notes by Jeff Tamarkin and Bill Thompson, complete recording notation and a U.S. release discography. The set spans a period from an early Marty Balin solo recording in 1962 through a live recording of "You Wear Your Dresses Too Short" from 1972. If any group deserves a box set career retrospective, it's the Airplane, a great band that post-punk critics have scandalously undervalued. Sorry, but the Airplane was not--repeat, not--just a bunch of stoned hippies singing innocuous little ditties about flower power. Rather, they were one of the most ferocious live acts of their day, terrific songwriters capable of both tender ballads and squalling, almost atonal rockers, and they had attitude to burn, which is a roundabout way of saying that they had more in common with the punks that followed them than those punks were prepared to admit. In any case, this set is not strictly speaking a greatest-hits package, although just about every important Airplane song is represented; it is LOVES YOU's smart idea, however, to present most of them in previously unreleased live versions. This is a particularly good move, given that the Airplane's studio albums, up to and including VOLUNTEERS, were consistently among the worst produced of any major band of their era, and while no live recording really does justice to the Airplane's monumental concert sound, the ones here come close enough. Essential listening. Editorial reviews 10 - Classic - ...the best psychedelic rock band to ever storm the charts...[a] three-CD tribute to the band's power and glory... POCO - LEGEND - MFSL SEALED LP - This is a MFSL Super Virgin Vinyl (so pure that you can see through it if held up to the light) JVC Half-Speed Japanese Pressing. THIS COPY HAS A SMALL CUTOUT IN THE JACKET BUT OTHER THEN THAT IT IS PRISTINE. THIS IS OUR LAST COPY FOREVER. This is one of those albums that's fallen between the cracks of time. Virtually every song here is worth a listen. Crazy Love, In the Heart of the Night, Legend are classics. I can't figure out why a lot of reviewers insist on comparing Poco with the Eagles. I know, they had similar country rock roots. But by the late 70s, the Eagles had formulated a harder-edged sound that had little in common with their first couple of albums. In fact, Legend has more in common with the early Eagle material than than with what the Eagles were doing in 1978, when Poco released this record. So check it out. It's good stuff. Track Listings 1. Rated the 61st best LP of all-time PLUS NEIL YOUNG Less than a year after the release of CSN's groundbreaking debut, the group returned with Stephen Stills's (singing hit song, "Carry On",) former Buffalo Springfield cohort/rival Neil Young augmenting the threesome. The result is a less concentrated but more kinetic creation; Young swims through the celestial harmonies of rock's best trio. With classics like "Almost Cut My Hair" DÉJÀ VU is teeming with early '70s FM staples, including "Helpless," "Teach Your Children," , the hit "Woodstock" (penned by Joni Mitchell) , "Our House" and much more. The resulting debut, a 2-LP set from 1972, has been a perennial favorite since its release. It's a big bubbling cauldron of country-rock-blue(s)- grass with blue eyed soul mixings plus Stills' penchant for Latin riffs (Suite: Judy Blue Eyes) thrown in for flavor. This collection not only showcase Stills trademark voice and song writing, but finally lets his fiery guitar playing blaze through. Songs include Song Of Love, Rock and Roll Crazies/Cuban Bluegrass, Jet Set, Anyway, Both Of Us, Fallen Eagle, Jesus Gave Love Away For Free, Colorado, So Begins The Task, Hide It So Deep, Don't Look At My Shadow, It Doesn't Matter, Johnny's Garden, Bound To Fall, How Far, Move Around, The Love Gangster, What To Do, Right Now, Treasure and Blues Man -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Track Listings 1. Featuring Jimi Hendrix, who died prior to the album's release on Old Times Good Times. The London session also allowed Stills to finally team up with Eric Clapton on Go Back Home. Spawning the mega-hit Love The One You're With. The album is a masterful mix of the southern California folk pop sound that Stills helped forge, blended with the Latin, swamp and blues influences that he was ready to express. Also collaborating are John Sebastian, Rita Coolidge, David Crosby, Graham Nash and Cass Elliot. Engineered by Andy Johns and arranged in part by Arif Mandrin. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Track Listings 1. Love The One You're With 2. Immigration Man DAVID CROSBY - This title is the 200 gram CLASSIC RECORDS WITH ORIGINAL COMPLETE WRAP EDITION. David Crosby's debut solo album If I Could Only Remember My Name is a one-shot wonder of dreamy but ominous California ambience. The songs range from brief snapshots of inspiration (the angelic chorale-vocal showcase on "Orleans" and the a cappella closer, "I'd Swear There Was Somebody Here") to the full-blown, rambling Western epic "Cowboy Movie", and there are absolutely no false notes struck or missteps taken. No one before or since has gotten as much mileage out of a wordless vocal as Crosby does on "Tamalpais High (At About 3)" and "Song With No Words (Tree With No Leaves)", and because the music is so relaxed, each song turns into its own panoramic vista. Those who don't go for trippy Aquarian sentiment, however, may be slightly put off by the obscure, cosmic storytelling of the gorgeous "Laughing" or the ambiguous (but pointed) social questioning of "What Are Their Names", but in actuality it is an incredibly focused album. Even when a song as pretty as "Traction in the Rain" shimmers with its picked guitars and autoharp, the album is coated in a distinct, persistent menace that is impossible to shake. It is a shame that Crosby would continue to descend throughout the remainder of the decade and the beginning of the next into aimless drug addiction, and that he would not issue another solo album until 18 years later. As it is, If Only I Could Only Remember My Name is a shambolic masterpiece, meandering but transcendently so, full of frayed threads. Not only is it among the finest splinter albums out of the CSNY diaspora, it is one of the defining moments of hung-over spirituality from the era. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Track Listings 1. Music is Love 2. Cowboy Movie 3. Tamalpais High (at about 3) 4. Laughing 5. What Are Their Names 6. Traction In The Rain 7. Song With No Words (Tree With No Leaves) 8. WHAT WERE ONCE VICES ARE NOW HABITS, the follow-up to the Doobies' massive commercial breakthrough, THE CAPTAIN AND ME, boasts one of the great album titles in rock history. The album also features a strong bunch of songs in the same stylistic vein as its immediate predecessors. The big hit here, of course, is "Black Water," an infectious piece of jazzy folk rock with a killer a cappella gospel-chorus section. "Song to See You Through" is the Doobies' version of a '60s soul ballad, with the Memphis Horns adding a deep, Southern-fried feel. "Eyes of Silver" lopes along on a guitar-driven "Listen to the Music" groove, while "Down in the Track" is a straight-ahead, mid-tempo blues rocker with a cameo appearance by New Orleans piano legend James Booker. Best of all is the lovely "Another Park, Another Sunday," whose folk-style guitars and harmonies give country-rock contemporaries like the Eagles a good run for their money. Though not as consistent and essential as THE CAPTAIN AND ME, WHAT WERE ONCE VICES still has plenty to offer, capturing the band at the crest of their early-'70s peak.

Classic Analog LP Pressing w/ small cut out in cover. FM - ORIGINAL SOUND TRACK ALBUM - DOUBLE LP SET Out of Print 20 YEARS FACTORY SEALED ORIGINAL RELEASE Analog LP with small cutout on jacket but contains all the original LP picture sleeve LP insert. This DOUBLE VINYL collection is the soundtrack from the 1978 ill-fated movie. Take It to the Limit (Alternate Mix) - (Remix, studio) Distributor: MSI Music Distribution Recording type: Live Recording mode: Stereo Personnel: Randy Meisner (vocals, acoustic guitar); Buford Jones (acoustic guitar); Dixon House (keyboards, background vocals); Tom Erak (bass, background vocals); Stan Kipper (drums). Recorded live at Nick's Uptown Theatre, Dallas, Texas in 1982. Once playing bass for Poco, Linda Ronstadt, the Eagles, and Rick Nelson, Randy Meisner performs live in a small Dallas club in 1982. The album contains 11 tracks including "Jealousy," "Lonesome Cowgirl," and "I Need You Bad." About five years after he'd left the Eagles, Randy Meisner recorded this live set in Dallas on December 2, 1982, before a none-too-big or (at times, at least) enthusiastic-sounding crowd. To his credit, at this point he wasn't resting on his work with the Eagles, filling up most of the set with songs from his trio of albums from the late '70s and early '80s, though he did include the Eagles' "Try and Love Again" and "Take It to the Limit." Still, it's bland if slickly executed singer/songwriter rock, touched with traces of country, folk, and pop, but less so than the work of the Eagles. Like many live albums, it's one for fans only, whether of the Eagles and/or (less likely) Meisner's solo work. The packaging is disappointing in that it has few details of the show, though it does at least list the musicians and print the lyrics. There are, incidentally, two versions of "Take It to the Limit," one of them identified as an "alternate mix." ~ Richie Unterberger

"Steve Miller Band, Book of Dreams - Last Copy"

DCC 24K Gold CD "Last Copy" When Miller, Mallaber and Turner took their chums into the studio to record FLY LIKE AN EAGLE, they emerged with 22 tracks. Some may have noticed that there are only 12 tracks on FLY LIKE AN EAGLE. Rather than release what would have been one of the greatest double studio LPs of all time, Miller decided to release a magnificent single LP FLY LIKE AN EAGLE, and then hold on to the remaining tracks for the next release. No way could the tracks be held onto be considered less outstanding than the ones that made it for the FLY LIKE AN EAGLE release. If anything, BOOK OF DREAMS is even a better album. It has two excellent singles - Jet Airliner and Jungle Love -- it also has the wonderful Swing Town - Winter Time, True Fine Love - Wish Upon A Star - Electro Lux Imbroglio - Sacrifice - The Snake - My Own Space - Babes In The Wood.
