"Eric Clapton, Clapton Chronicles (2 LPs)"
ERIC CLAPTON - CHRONICLES - THE BEST OF ERIC CLAPTON - NOW OUT OF PRINT AND BECOMING TREMENDOUSLY RARE.
FACTORY SEALED - OUT OF PRINT EUROPEAN 1999 RELEASE DOUBLE LP SET
High definition analog vinyl pressing for superior fidelity. The nicest thing you can do for your stylus and ears. The ultimate record – the way music was meant to be heard. Out of Print forever!!
Clapton joined The Yardbirds in 1963 and quickly developed a big reputation for his guitar ability and style.
In 1965 he joined Mayall's band, and their album of the following year Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton is widely hailed as a classic of its style. A famous photograph of a piece of London graffiti summed up the reaction of fans: it read "Clapton Is God".
In 1966 he formed Cream with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker. For the two-and-a-bit years that they existed, Cream were a massive worldwide success, selling out tours wherever they went and selling millions of albums. Clapton developed as a songwriter for classic records such as Disraeli Gears (1967) and Wheels of Fire (1968), both of which were inspirational to Led Zeppelin and the other hard rock and metal acts that followed.
After Cream broke up in 1968, Clapton's next project was Blind Faith, formed with Baker, Steve Winwood and Rick Grech. They toured to massive crowds and released one self-titled album, before splitting.
Clapton released an eponymous solo album and spent 1970 guesting on albums by others, including All Things Must Pass by close friend George Harrison. He then formed Derek and the Dominos, and released Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs. It was met with a mixed reception but has since been reappraised as a classic. It features the lead single "Layla", which includes one of the most famous guitar riffs ever written.
During this period Clapton declined into depression, worsened by a serious heroin habit, the deaths of close friend Jimi Hendrix and band-mate Duane Allman, and the poor initial response to the Layla album. Derek and the Dominos gave up halfway through recording a second album, and Clapton retreated from public view.
He only came out to perform at Harrison's 1971 Concert for Bangladesh (during which he passed out on-stage), before The Who's Pete Townshend organised a comeback gig for him, later released as the Rainbow Concert (1973).
His first album after kicking the heroin habit, 461 Ocean Boulevard (1974), was a big hit with critics and the public, and included a hit cover of Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff". Subsequent albums were low-key, but Slowhand (1977) featured two big singles: "Wonderful Tonight" and "Cocaine".
In 1992, there was a re-emergence in Clapton's commercial fortunes, brought about by deep personal tragedy. His four year old son Conor died after falling out of a high-rise window in New York. The sorrowful song Clapton wrote about it, "Tears in Heaven", was a worldwide smash, and won three Grammy Awards. It was included on the Unplugged live album, which was widely acclaimed.
ERIC CLAPTON - CHRONICLES - THE BEST OF ERIC CLAPTON - EUROPEAN PRESSING - 1999 RELEASE - LONG OUT OF PRINT 2 LP SET - If this were your first exposure to Eric Clapton, a bit of bewilderment would be in order. This is the legendary guitar icon? This is (as his early apostles once proclaimed) God? Ranging from the mid-'80s through the late '90s, The Clapton Chronicles owes less to the groundbreaking blues-rock of Clapton's '60s and '70s classics than to the polished-to-a-glare pop of PHIL COLLINS, who produced one of the tracks included in this 15-song anthology.
His reinterpretation of his BEST OF--the once-gripping, now-placid "Layla"--perhaps best illustrates Clapton at middle-age: Who wants to bask in his darkest period? Not Clapton, who converts his surging, purging charge into a soothing stroll. And perhaps not fans of such docile MOR fare as "My Father's Eyes," "Tears in Heaven," and the two new tracks, "Blue Eyes Blue" and "Get Lost."

Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com essential recording
One of B.B. King's first pop-inclined efforts, this CD features the support of rock- and blues-raised session players. King's progeny, in a sense. Keyboardist Al Kooper is the most notable, but it's guitarist Hugh McCracken who engages the master in a six-string duel on the jam "Cryin' Won't Help You Now/You're Mean." The album also contains King's breakthrough hit "The Thrill Is Gone." King didn't particularly enjoy the tune when he recorded it. But when he returned to the studio the next day to hear the strings that were added to sweeten its chorus in his absence, he was as taken by the transcendent, majestic sweep they lent his performance as the rest of the world was soon to be. Indeed, his visceral vocal and stinging guitar leads define the bittersweet aftertaste of lost love. While the sheen of the hit's production stands out among this album's cuts, the unvarnished emotion of its lyrics is what the blues is all about. --Ted Drozdowski
From Grove Press Guide to Blues on CD
King's exciting vocals and guitar are provided a sympathetic sounding board by respectful but not fawning young sessions- men. Points of interest include "The Thrill Is Gone," a Top Twenty hit, and the open-ended jam "Cryin' Won't Help You Now/You're Mean," which has his lordship stirring it up with uncredited guitarist Hugh McCracken. Lucky for everyone King steers clear of the Age of Aquarius funk then debasing the music of T-Bone Walker and other bluesmen cutting pop- slanted records in the late 1960s. -- © Frank John Hadley 1993

"AC DC, Powerage - 180 Gram First Edition"
THIS TITLE IS THE ORIGINAL 1ST EDITION OF THIS LIMITED EDITION 180 GRAM AUDIOPHILE PRESSING WITH THE ORIGINAL SILVER MARKETING STICKER THAT WAS ONLY ATTACHED TO THESE 1ST EDITIONS.
Merited for its song variety, artistic expression and sonic clarity, Powerage is favored by many aficionados to be AC/DC’s most accomplished performance in a studio setting. Recorded in Australia circa 1978, Powerage also ushered in a new era of sorts, for it marked the debut of London, England bassist Cliff Williams, whose driving, eighth-note bottom brought AC/DC’s attack to full caliber. The final album to be recorded with production team Vanda & Young during the Bon Scott era, Powerage was their most focused work to date and really showcases Angus Young’s fiery guitar playing.

"…his first solo album since Who Came First, a vanity project released to little notice around Who's Next (so limited in its distribution that Empty Glass seemed like his solo debut). Some of the songs on Empty Glass would have worked as Who songs, yet this is clearly a singer/songwriter album, the work of a writer determined to lay his emotions bare…Empty Glass remains one of the highlights of Townshend's catalog and is one of the most revealing records he cut, next to his other breakdown album, Who By Numbers." – All Music Guide

Fleetwood Mac: Peter Green, Danny Kirwan (vocals, guitar); Jeremy Spencer (vocals, slide guitar, piano); John McVie (vocals, bass); Mick Fleetwood (drums).
Recorded live at The Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles, California on January 25, 1969.
This is part of Rykodisc's Dinky Dawson's Live Archive The Dinky Who? series.
Fleetwood Mac became a particularly formidable beast when Danny Kirwan joined its ranks in 1968. The Mac was already nominally a twin-guitar line-up, but Jeremy Spencer showed little inclination to perform on anyone's material other than his own variations on a theme by Elmore James and his regular rock & roll spot in the live set. With the arrival of Kirwan, Peter Green had a second guitarist with whom he could interact as well as someone to relieve the songwriting burden.
This lineup's live prowess had already been amply illustrated by the extensive material recorded over several sets at the Boston Tea Party a month earlier, which can be heard in its entirety on THE BOSTON BOX. However, this concert, recorded in Los Angeles on January 25th 1969, is notable for including some different material. The group's then-current single, "Albatross," shares the spotlight with a song the Mac did not record in the studio, Jimmy Rogers' "Lemon Squeezer," and "Before the Beginning" offers a preview of the band's next studio album, THEN PLAY ON. "Before the Beginning" is the set's highlight, although "Something Inside of Me" and "Need Your Love So Bad" offer strong competition.

SLOWHAND was the album which defined the new cool of Eric Clapton, a sultry, laid-back mix of rock and blues, with a heavy dose of country and southwestern regional sounds to leaven the blend. After LAYLA, SLOWHAND was probably Clapton's most popular, fully realized solo disc.
The opening number was by J.J. Cale, whose "After Midnight" had been one of the real joys of the guitarist's first solo excursion, ERIC CLAPTON. "Cocaine," with its slow grinding beat, menacing melodic vamp and one-step from perdition lyrics, was the toughest, most rocking number on SLOWHAND, and a major radio hit from the outset.
A couple of vocal duets with countryish harmonies set the tone for the rest of SLOWHAND. "Lay Down Sally" was a funky, chicken-fried bit of boogie with a taut, melodic aside from Clapton's twangy Stratocaster, while Don Williams' sweet, soulful "We're All The Way" provided a low-key vehicle for Clapton's tender vocal exchanges with Marcy Levy, as his understated arpeggios toll away in the background.

With its almost biblical overtones, Let There Be Rock came screaming out of Australia in 1977 as AC/DC’s first stab at a real album. As a mission statement, it comes across as a fresh start — a break from the early “novelty” approach to songwriting and a move to the more focused album-oriented view that the band would perfect. Let There Be Rock was the brooding sound of AC/DC putting the world and particularly their critics on notice that their march had really begun, that they were as serious as a cardiac condition with a megaton of amplification. It simply wasn’t possible to make more exciting rock and roll.

"Sly And The Family Stone - 4 Titles - Small Talk, Stand, Fresh & Dance To The Music"
SLY AND THE FAMILY STONE - 4 LP SET WITH THESE FOUR TITLES - SMALL TALK - STAND - FRESH & DANCE TO THE MUSIC -
ALL OUT OF PRINT RARE 180 GRAM ORIGINAL HEAVY VINYL LIMITED EDITION PRESSINGS FROM THE ORIGINAL LABEL.
FACTORY SEALED LP - vinyl pressing .
Sly and the Family Stone, led by the enigmatic Sylvester Stewart (aka Sly Stone), were a pioneering funk band in the 60s and 70s who merged rock with funk, had a sexually and racially integrated line-up, and who famously moved from optimistic party anthems and hippy idealism to drug-induced frustration and paranoia.
Sly and the Family Stone were formed in 1966 when Sly Stone merged his struggling band with the struggling band of his brother Freddie, and added bassist Larry Graham. A debut album received good reviews but didn't sell well, so they were reluctantly persuaded to record an overtly commercial single to boost their reputation. Sly came up with the goods in January 1968 with the raucous party anthem "Dance to the Music", which got to No.8 in the pop charts and influenced the sound of soul music for the next several years. There are a few interesting innovations in just this one song: it is performed by a racially integrated group and with instrumental participation by women, it included rock guitar parts in a funk song, and there are four lead singers who take turns to sing.
This was followed in 1969 by their first classic album, Stand!, which included hit singles "Everyday People/Sing a Simple Song" and "I Want to Take You Higher". It eventually sold over three million copies and was followed by a famous Woodstock appearance, and another hit single: "Hot Fun in the Summertime". But internal differences were arising and illicit drug use was increasing at this time, so in the following two years only one single was released. "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)" (December 69) is important for two reasons: it prominently featured Larry Graham's new slap-bass method that would become a standard in funk; and it signified the beginning of Sly and the Family Stone's darker period, as they expressed their frustration that the hippy ideals they once offered, of peace and love for all mankind, weren't working.
For much of 70/71, Sly Stone sank deeper into a drug habit and retreated from recording duties. A comeback single, "Family Affair", reached No.1 in late 1971, before the November release of their most acclaimed work: There's a Riot Goin' On. An album of melancholy and frustration, it announced the passing of 60s idealism and the new reality of widespread socio-economic problems. Despite the dark themes, it reached No.1 and is regarded as one of the greatest albums of the decade.
Subsequent albums, such as Fresh (1973) and Small Talk (1974), Fresh is now considered as an important album in the development of funk, while their work overall is regarded as highly influential for artists such as Stevie Wonder, Prince, and Michael Jackson. Eventually the band fizzled out as members became increasingly frustrated with Sly's erratic and unreliable behaviour, and bookings for live shows dried up. Officially splitting in 1975, some of the key members have since reformed and were touring Europe with Sly in 2007.
DANCE TO THE MUSIC -
Surely one of the best Sly & The Family Stone albums ever released. This album has so many great songs - cover to cover. Every track a stomping, funk masterpiece. The unbelievably timeless, uplifting funk that is DANCE TO THE MEDLEY alone makes the album essential -- a true party song. Other tracks (from a group rated one of the top 50 rock n roll artists of all time) include: DANCE TO THE MUSIC - HIGHER - I AIN?T GOT NOBODY FOR REAL - RIDE THE RHYTHM - COLOR ME TRUE - ARE YOU READY - DON'T BURN BABY - I'LL NEVER FALL IN LOVE AGAIN - SOUL CLAPPIN?.
FRESH - Coming as it did on the heels of the There's a Riot Goin' On, 1973's Fresh surprised a lot of Sly fans by actually living up to its name. The weariness and paranoia of Riot are totally missing in action, replaced by a relaxed optimism that seems to shine from every note of tracks like "If You Want Me to Stay" and "In Time." The band--newly buttressed by the rhythm section of Rusty Allen and Andy Newmark--plays it loose and funky, and Sly's oddball sense of humor resurfaces on a cover of Doris Day's "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)."
Tracks include: . In Time 2. If You Want Me to Stay 3. Let Me Have It All 4. Frisky 5. Thankful N' Thoughtful 6. Skin I'm In 7. I Don't Know (Satisfaction) 8. Keep on Dancin' 9. Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) 10. If It Were Left Up to Me 11. Babies Makin' Babies

CROSBY, STILLS, NASH & YOUNG - DÉJÀ VU – FACTORY SEALED 200 GRAM CLASSIC RECORDS. Rated the 61st best LP of all-time PLUS NEIL YOUNG
Less than a year after the release of CSN's groundbreaking debut, the group returned with Stephen Stills's (singing hit song, "Carry On",) former Buffalo Springfield cohort/rival Neil Young augmenting the threesome. The result is a less concentrated but more kinetic creation; Young swims through the celestial harmonies of rock's best trio. With classics like "Almost Cut My Hair" DÉJÀ VU is teeming with early '70s FM staples, including "Helpless," "Teach Your Children," , the hit "Woodstock" (penned by Joni Mitchell) , "Our House" and much more.

CROSBY STILLS AND NASH DEBUT LP - 200 GRAM CLASSIC RECORDS
This is CROSBY STILLS & NASH Debut Album – That was mastered from the Original Session Tapes (and Graham Nash has recently stated this was the 1st time this master session tape was ever used. The fact was this tape was never used on the original release pressings just the second and 3rd generation clones from the master) to 200 Gram Heavy Virgin Vinyl by Classic Records and is the best Audiophile pressing ever of this masterpiece.
You are diffently in the studio with the Group in this rare pressing.+
One of the major Super Groups of the late sixties, CROSBY, STILLS & NASH dominated the charts and influenced many musicians with their skillful harmonizing and folk-rock sound. This debut Album was well-received and began an association that would last in varying combinations for 25 years.
Contains the classic – SWEET JUDY BLUE EYES rated the 41st best single in Rock N Roll – MARAKESH EXPRESS – GUINNEVERE – YOU DON’T HAVE TO CRY – PRE-ROAD DOWNS – WOODEN SHIPS – LADY OF THE ISLAND – HELPLESSLY HOPING – LONG TIME GONE – 49 – BYE-BYES ABSOLUTELY ONE OF THE BEST OF THE GROUP’S ALBUM OF ALL-TIME
Steven Stills/Steven Stills, - With this 1970 self-titled solo effort, Stephen Stills, like his bandmates of CSN&Y had decided to explore other musical avenues. Featuring Jimi Hendrix, who died prior to the album's release on Old Times Good Times. The London session also allowed Stills to finally team up with Eric Clapton on Go Back Home. Spawning the mega-hit Love The One You're With. The album is a masterful mix of the southern California folk pop sound that Stills helped forge, blended with the Latin, swamp and blues influences that he was ready to express. Also collaborating are John Sebastian, Rita Coolidge, David Crosby, Graham Nash and Cass Elliot. Engineered by Andy Johns and arranged in part by Arif Mandrin.

DAVID CROSBY - This title is the 200 gram CLASSIC RECORDS. David Crosby's debut solo album If I Could Only Remember My Name is a one-shot wonder of dreamy but ominous California ambience. The songs range from brief snapshots of inspiration (the angelic chorale-vocal showcase on "Orleans" and the a cappella closer, "I'd Swear There Was Somebody Here") to the full-blown, rambling Western epic "Cowboy Movie", and there are absolutely no false notes struck or missteps taken. No one before or since has gotten as much mileage out of a wordless vocal as Crosby does on "Tamalpais High (At About 3)" and "Song With No Words (Tree With No Leaves)", and because the music is so relaxed, each song turns into its own panoramic vista. Those who don't go for trippy Aquarian sentiment, however, may be slightly put off by the obscure, cosmic storytelling of the gorgeous "Laughing" or the ambiguous (but pointed) social questioning of "What Are Their Names", but in actuality it is an incredibly focused album. Even when a song as pretty as "Traction in the Rain" shimmers with its picked guitars and autoharp, the album is coated in a distinct, persistent menace that is impossible to shake. It is a shame that Crosby would continue to descend throughout the remainder of the decade and the beginning of the next into aimless drug addiction, and that he would not issue another solo album until 18 years later. As it is, If Only I Could Only Remember My Name is a shambolic masterpiece, meandering but transcendently so, full of frayed threads. Not only is it among the finest splinter albums out of the CSNY diaspora, it is one of the defining moments of hung-over spirituality from the era.

AC/DC are an Australian hard rock group formed in 1973 by ex-pat Scottish brothers Angus and Malcolm Young. They are hugely successful, having sold in excess of 150 million albums worldwide, with Back in Black ranking as the fifth highest-selling album of all time in the US.
Their first album High Voltage was released in Australia in 1975, but after Highway to Hell (1979), the album which broke them in the US, their charismatic vocalist Bon Scott died from acute alcohol poisoning. Plans to split were abandoned when they recruited Englishman Brian Johnson to replace him.
Back in Black had been started with Scott, but Johnson helped finish it and the album went on to sell more than 21 million copies, a double-diamond classification, in the US alone. It spawned the hit singles "Hells Bells", "You Shook Me All Night Long", and "Back in Black".
For Those About to Rock We Salute You was similarly successful, but following albums began to suffer a slight decline in popularity - though they continued to win awards, score big hits, and perform massive gigs. AC/DC were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.
With sixteen studio albums in their catalog, AC/DC haven't released a studio album since 2000's Stiff Upper Lip.
This is the ultimate collection from one of the world's greatest rock bands. It's all here, for the first time 17 + CDs bursting at the seams, in this one box of rock. From 'High Voltage' (1974) through to 'Stiff Upper Lip' (2000) with all the classic moments in between & the double live album. ABSOLUTELY ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS OF ALL TIME! Japanese Limited Edition Issue of the Album Classic in a Deluxe, Miniaturized LP Sleeve Replica of the Original Vinyl Album Artwork
Beyond the tragedy, the history, the raging guitars and the killer songs, ultimately, Lynyrd Skynyrd is about an indomitable will. About survival of spirit; unbowed, uniquely American, stubbornly resolute.
With their first set of new studio material since 2003’s Vicious Cycle, legendary rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd returns with God & Guns, on Loud & Proud/Roadrunner Records. Recorded in Nashville in 2008-2009, the project was interrupted—but, tellingly, not ended—by the deaths of founding member/keyboardist Billy Powell and longtime bassist Ean Evans earlier of that year.
Driven by core members Gary Rossington (guitar), Johnny Van Zant (vocals) and Rickey Medlocke (guitar), along with longtime drummer Michael Cartellone, Lynyrd Skynyrd have recorded an album (“under duress, as usual,” according to Van Zant) that very much lives up to the legacy begun some 35 years ago in Jacksonville, Florida, and halted for a decade by the 1977 plane crash that killed three band members, including Ronnie Van Zant and Steve Gaines. Since then, the band tragically lost Allen Collins, Leon Wilkeson and Huey Thomasson, yet they rock on.
With the passing of Powell and Evans, “a lot of people probably expected us to say enough is enough,” admits Medlocke. But that would not be the way of this Rock & Roll Hall of Fame powerhouse. With a catalog of over 60 albums and sales beyond 30 million, Lynyrd Skynyrd remains a cultural icon that appeals to all generations, and God & Guns is a fitting addition to the canon. The Skynyrd Nation awaits.
“We wanted to show the people that not only are we doing the old material, keeping the music going, but we still have some new tricks up our sleeves, too,” says founding guitarist Gary Rossington.
Returning to the studio after the death of Powell, whose keyboards can be heard on more than half the songs on God & Guns, was “very difficult, I ain’t gonna lie to you,” says Van Zant. “But we got through it, as Lynyrd Skynyrd seems to always do. Music’s a great healer. These songs needed to be out there, this record needed to be made. Gary, Rickey and myself just said ‘let’s go for it, let’s get this thing done.’”
Unfortunately, coping with loss is familiar to this band. “We just kind of fell back in,” says Rossington. “We’ve been doing this a long time, so you just kind of do what you do. As you get older, you get a little more used to it. You know it’s coming, and it’s coming to you, too. I just thank God for every day and all the time I had with the guys that aren’t with us anymore.”
The crying is over and now it’s time to rock. “We’ve had some really bad moments this year already, and I’m glad we’re able to pick ourselves up by our boot straps and just continue to play,” says Medlocke. “For us to weather through this makes this record even more special. I’m sure Billy and Ean are looking down upon us with big smiles.”
With noted rock producer Bob Marlette, input from guitarist John 5, and a wealth of material written by the band and a cadre of elite Skynyrd-minded songwriters, a remarkable album emerged. “We never really worked with producers that well, we kind of always wanted to do it our way,” admits Rossington. “But Bob Marlette came on and he’s such a great guy; he figured out how to talk to us musically, and we became friends instantly. He had a lot of fresh ideas and ways to do things, and also wanted to capture the old sounds, too.”
Of John 5, Rossington adds, “he’s probably one of the best guitar players I’ve ever played with, and I’ve played with a lot of great ones. He just lives with a guitar on him, and he knows that neck like nobody I’ve ever seen.”
With a backbone of Southern rock and country, passionate Van Zant vocals, and trademark layered guitars, God & Guns manages to maintain the iconic Skynyrd punch while sounding completely contemporary. Sure to attract attention in these politically divided times is the title track, which harbors a sense of menace and unwillingness to back down that hearkens back to Skynyrd’s earliest days. The band knows the song, and others like “That Ain’t My America,” will have their critics, but Medlocke says listeners should get beyond the title.
“It’s not just the words ‘God and guns.’ you gotta look past that and look at what this country was founded on: freedom,” Medlocke says. “Everybody should be able to make their own decisions and not be led around by a nose ring and told what to do and when to do it.”
And if some critics don’t like it, “that’s called freedom of choice,” says Medlocke, who carries his Native American heritage with pride. “I’m sure some critics will look at it, God & Guns, the rednecks are back.’ Well, the guys in this band aren’t rednecks, Rickey Medlocke’s the only damn redneck in this band ‘cause I got red skin.”
The title track, along with the unmistakable Skynyrd bite of the first single “Still Unbroken,” form thematic songs for an album laden with attitude, heart and purpose. “Skynyrd’s about tradition,” says Medlocke. “We are guys that don’t go around preaching about our own personal or political beliefs, although I’m sure you could probably guess mine. In this record is personal tragedy, personal relationships and being on the road, all under that umbrella of real life. That’s what we think, that’s what we believe, and we stand next to that title, God & Guns.”
To portray Skynyrd as a bunch of “gun nuts” would be incorrect, according to Van Zant. “I’m kind of like Ronnie, ‘handguns are made for killing,’ and I’ve never seen anybody shoot a deer with a .38,” he says. “I do own a bunch of rifles, I live out in the swamp, and you’ve got to protect yourself.”
Skynyrd is a band, after all, that has never shied away from standing up and speaking for a segment of the population whose voices are seldom heard. “Everybody’s so scared to say stuff these days, that’s not what I’m about,” says Van Zant. “We live in America, we can speak our minds. These are our values. That doesn’t mean we’re always right in everybody’s mind. Hopefully, we don’t offend a bunch of people. And if we do, well, get a record deal, man, and make your own songs.”
This is a band well aware of the responsibility that comes with putting the name ‘Lynyrd Skynyrd’ on anything, be it an album or a concert. “We feel like we have to keep the standards high,” says Rossington. “I wouldn’t put this record out, I’d fight not to, if I didn’t think it was good.”
And so Skynyrd stands, “still unbroken,” in 2009. “People may say, ‘they need the money,’ well I don’t think any of us need the money,” Van Zant says. “It’s just that we love the music, it’s bigger than the money, it’s not even about that any more. We have to make a living, sure, but it’s about the legacy of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and what it stands for, what the fans are all about. There’s nothing like getting out there playing a great show with Skynyrd and seeing people love this music.”
Adds Rossington, “We’re still standing, still keeping the music going.
PRONOUNCED' LEH-NERD-SKIN-NERD - Fans of Lynyrd Skynyrd are in for a treat with this mini-lp replica sleeve version (mlps) of their brilliant debut and their best ever album of their short-lived first line-up career. Prior to their tragic plane crash which decimated the band, they were at the height of they musical prowess here and on their second album although I feel that this, their debut, is still the best one. The tracks are all consistently good and they have a good flow as all classic albums should. No apparent fillers on this baby which should be essential listening for all classic rock fans.
The cardboard sleeve gatefold design is very well done and very faithfully resembles the original vinyl design. The quality of the cardboard used is very good and the assembly overall is very well done. Included is an insert that has all the lyrics in both English and Japanese too.

9. Mr. Banker (Demo)
10. Down South Jukin' (Demo)
11. Tuesday's Gone (Demo)

The first 3 tracks are classic rock classics while track 4 sounds a lot like the Animals' "House of the Rising Sun" but not enough for a lawsuit.
"Mississippi Kid" is a great study of good old time country blues and excellent acoustic slide guitar playing. The whole album makes for a thoroughly enjoyable listen and you can actually hear the fun each member of the band is having playing together which reminds me a lot of the early Allman Brother's Band as well.

These Limited Editions will be your last opportunity to upgrade your vinyl collection with an Audiophile 180 Gram Heavy Virgin Vinyl Pressing. Once these masterpieces are gone, you will not be able to own this Analog Sonic gem again.
Being a part of the vinyl breed who understands that no matter where CD technology has gone or will go, it will never replace the way vinyl breathes life into every track. Audiophile is all about vinyl being a mainstay of listening experience and owning pieces of musical history that will blow any listener away. It is the difference between owning a Ferrari or a Honda Civic.
Recently selected as the Number Two Recording of all-time finishing second to The Beatles Revolver, Nirvana NEVERMIND was released in 1991 by GEFFEN. Included in this pivotal recording is the song that changed the direction of Rock Music “Smells Like Teen Spirit”.
If NEVERMIND's sound is familiar now, it is only because thousands of rock records that followed it were trying very hard to copy its style. It tears out of the speakers like a cannonball, from the punk-turbo-charged riff of “Smells Like Teen Spirit” onward, magnifying and distilling the wounded rage of 15 years of the rock underground into a single impassioned roar. Few albums have occupied the cultural consciousness like this one; of its 12 songs, roughly 10 are now standards. The record’s historical weight can make it hard to hear now with fresh ears, but the monumental urgency of Kurt Cobain’s screams is still shocking.
Tracks Include:
"Smells Like Teen Spirit" "In Bloom" "Come As You Are" "Breed" "Lithium" "Polly" "Territorial Pissings" "Drain You" "Lounge Act" "Stay Away" "On A Plain" "Something In The Way"

This means that this specific title is now out of print forever and there are very few remaining is sealed condition. This title is going to skyrocket in value & price over the next few months. 180 Gram Limited Edition Simply Vinyl classic LP (made in England - has the best protective packaging I’ve seen) high-definition Virgin Vinyl pressing for superior fidelity. The nicest thing you can do for your stylus and your ears. The ultimate record -- the way music was meant to be heard and of superior quality for any Audiophile.
Ten Years After exploded into popular culture based on their sizzling performance of "I'm Going Home" in the movie (and soundtrack) "Woodstock: Three Days of Peace and Love." Alvin Lee's guitar work on Going Home was dazzling, but Ten Years After was more than a one-hit wonder. Cricklewood Green is, in my humble opinion, their very best album -- although A Space in Time earned them Top 40 status with "I'd Love to Change the World." Cricklewood Green, of all TYA albums, was uniformly excellent from beginning to end. There are some true (sadly overlooked) classics here: "Working the Road," "50,000 Years Beneath my Brain," "Love Like a Man," and, well EVERY tune is great. Anyone who is interested in discovering Ten Years After would be served by starting with this album.

With his Presley-like mystique, a strapping baritone voice and songs with universal lunch bucket appeal, Johnny Cash reached one of many career high-water marks with his sprawling 1963 epic, Blood, Sweat And Tears. From the perspiration-drenched, eight-minute version of “The Legend Of John Henry’s Hammer” to “Busted,” Harlan Howard’s down ‘n’ out hard-luck story, Cash made everything he recorded sound like it had been written just for him. This exact replica of Cash’s 1963 classic — on rock-busting 180-gram Sundazed vinyl — shows Cash once again straddling the worlds of country, folk and pop like a black-clad behemoth: a once-in-a-generation artist whose revered work will live on forever.

"Art Pepper, No Limit"
140 Gram Limited Edition Analog Virgin Vinyl.
No longer making a comeback, in 1977 Art Pepper had firmly reinstalled himself on the jazz scence. He was playing with all of his old facility and a new depth of expression born out of the pain of his ruinous years and the joy of his personal and artisitc rebirth. No Limit found Pepper once again in the comopany of the rapidly developing young pianisst George Cables, who had been so important to the sucess of The Trip (OJC 410). Pepper and Cables were to make ten more albums together over the next few years. Drummer Carl Burnett, another of Pepper's favorites, was on the date along with the powerful bassist Tony Dumas. The session includeda moving performance of "Ballad Of The Sad Young Men" and the Latin abandon of "Mambo de la Pinta," with Pepper overdubbing a wild chase on tenor and alto.

My Generation, The Who's first album, has little of the roaring, raging quartet heard on Who's Next, Live At Leeds and Quadrophenia. But the Mod-fueled, American R&B-inspired sense of ambitious pop that powers A Quick One, Sell Out and even Tommy isn't so hard to find here.

Actual miniaturized version of the 12” LP in 4” CD version.
DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, originally released in 1973, is one of those albums that is discovered anew by each generation of rock listeners. This complex, often psychedelic music works very wel because PINK FLOYD doesn’t rush anything; the songs are mainly slow and mid-temp, with attention paid throughout to musical texture and mood. The sound effects on songs like ON THE RUN – TIME – and especially MONEY (with sampled sounds of clinking coins and cash registers turned into rhythmic accompaniment) are impressive, especially when we remember that 1973 was before the advent of digital recording techniques. This is probably PINK FLOYD’s best known work. PINK FLOYD were incredibly talented pioneers and innovators who were a ground-breaking act who were many, many years ahead of their time capable of producing the most devastatingly original and brilliant music ever created.
MEDDLE - GATEFOLD COVER -
MEDDLE is one of Pink Floyds peak work with exquisite drumming and persevering guitar of David Gilmour . . The album stays amazing up until the last second of the last song when the album stops .The variation of music in this album really carries the mood of Pink Floyd changing.

A SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS - Pink Floyd's second album A Saucerful of Secrets, released in July of 1968. Sadly, A Saucerful of Secrets was hugely ignored in the US but made it to #9 in the UK upon release in 1968.
Sales notwithstanding, the album is a classic!
The album was re-released in Japan in 2001 with packaging that looks like the original EMI vinyl. The remastering was the same as the 1994 EMI remastering but sounds incredible.

OBSCURED BY CLOUDS - Pink Floyd released their eighth album(overall) Obscured by Clouds in June of 1972.
The album was a soundtrack to the French film La Vallee, which was directed by Barbet Schroder.
Obscured by Clouds was the band's second film soundtrack for Schroder, their first was the 1969 movie More and was their fourth overall as they also did songs for the movies The Committee and 1970's Zabriske Point. Obscured by Clouds was the album released before 1973's The Dark Side of the Moon and was the band's first ever US Top 50 disc peaking at a respectable #46 and eventually went Gold(in 1994).
The album was produced by Pink Floyd themselves and was recorded in a week at the Chateau D'herouville(a/k/a the Honky Chateau as Elton John called it) in France in late February of 1972 during a break from touring Europe.
Obscured by Clouds kicks off with the title cut(featuring excellent synth work from both keyboardist Rick Wright and bass player/vocalist Roger Waters and slide guitar from guitarist/vocalist David Gilmour) which then segues into When You're In(with excellent drumming from drummer Nick Mason). Those two tracks were staples of Floyd shows in 1973 on the Dark Side tour. Burning Bridges follows and has a great vocal from Gilmour and Wright and is a great tune. The Gold It's In The... is a hard rocker with some great guitar work from Gilmour. Wots...Uh the Deal follows and is a great song with excellent keyboard work from Wright and great vocals and guitar work from Gilmour. Next is an instrumental version of Burning Bridges entitled Mudmen which is in a different tempo than Burning Bridges.
Side two kicked off with Childhood's End(one of Gilmour's best songs ever). Next is Free Four was Waters' first song mentioning the word run which would appear more dominantly on future Floyd albums, it also talks about war and death for the first time and those subjects would appear more dominantly on The Wall and The Final Cut. Free Four was the first Floyd track which got substantial airplay on American rock radio. Next was Stay, which had an excellent vocal from Wright. The album closes with the atmospheric instrumental entitled Absolutely Curtains which features synthesizer work from Gilmour, Waters and Wright and percussion work from Mason and the New Guinea tribe, from the actual La Vallee film itself, conclude this track.

A COLLECTION OF GREAT DANCE SONGS -
Initially released between studio albums (namely, The Wall and The Final Cut), this best-of collection picks from Pink Floyd’s 1970s material – the era when the band (and they were a band in those days) played sold out stadiums of the world and sold records by the tons. On this album three of the songs are different than the versions everyone knows.
Money was recorded by Floyd guitarist/vocalist David Gilmour except for the sax which was played by Dick Parry. Capitol wouldn’t let Columbia/CBS use Money so Dave recorded the song SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND parts 1,2,4 and 7 and is the version as Floyd first performed it on a French tour in 1974.
Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 is the single mix version but uses the ending from the album version. Other songs include ONE OF THESE DAYS – SHEEP – WISH YOU WHERE HERE.
WISH YOU WERE HERE - RARE U.K. REPLICA LP IN A CD (sealed). Small quantities of this limited pressing w/miniature LP sleeve packaging. This collectors edition includes the original black shrink wrap that covered the 'controversial' artwork release.

DIVISION BELL - GATEFOLD COVER
The Division Bell is a great album and may possibly be the final album from the band. Although David said Floyd was done in 2001, he changed his stance in 2003 saying "Floyd still exists and will return one day but not tomorrow". However if Floyd don't return, this album ends their career with a bang!

Four years after becoming an uninvited guest at the party that is the music industry with its seminal debut, APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION, Guns N' Roses released USE YOUR ILLUSION I & II. Thanks to a reckless approach toward life and music, G N' R was constantly at the center of controversy and the result was that much of it was chronicled on this two-volume project. By this time, original drummer Steven Adler had been dismissed due to alleged drug dependency problems and was replaced by the Cult's Matt Sorum. Keyboardist Dizzy Reed was also added as a member.
ILLUSION I found Axl Rose ranting on songs about being sued by a neighbor ("Right Next Door to Hell"), dysfunctional relationships ("Back off Bitch"), and a drug overdose ("Coma"). Amid all the spewed bile, G N' R scored three Top 40 hits with a Wings cover ("Live and Let Die"), a piano-driven, Elton John-flavored epic ("November Rain"), and a hard-edged ballad ("Don't Cry"). Celebrity cameos include a then unknown Shannon Hoon, Hanoi Rocks' Mike Monroe, and Alice Cooper, who makes a particularly sinister contribution to "The Garden."

STRONG PERSUADER won a 1988 Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Recording.
1986's STRONG PERSUADER was a milestone both for Robert Cray and blues in the '80s. It earned Cray, a veteran of the Pacific Northwest blues scene, both his first solo Grammy and Top 30 hit ("Smoking Gun") along with a lift out of the blues ghetto which he'd been excelling in during recent years. As for the blues themselves, Cray infused fresh blood into a genre that had been limping along in that particular decade.
With a smooth singing style to go with an equally recognizable guitar tone, Cray developed a sound that owed as much to soul stylist O.V. Wright as it did to Texas guitarist Albert Collins (with whom Cray had won a Grammy along with Johnny Copeland the prior year). The use of the Memphis Horns strengthened the soul connection on songs such as the punchy "Nothing But A Woman" and the chugging effervescence of "Guess I Showed Her." Of course, Cray's heart lay in the blues and when he wasn't lamenting the woes of infidelity in "Right Next Door (Because Of Me)" and a bad break-up in "Still Around," his guitar playing smoldered throughout the forlorn "New Blood."

There have been so few vinyl LPs produced over the last 5 years that you should never pass up the opportunity to upgrade your collection. They're each very limited in their pressings and disappear with extraordinary quickness from the vinyl market. This causes prices to skyrocket because once they are gone, they are gone forever! Don't second-guess yourself with this chance to upgrade your collection because before you know it, the opportunity will have passed forever.

MORE REAL FOLK BLUES - Consisting mainly of Chicago takes from the early to mid 1950s, More Real Folk Blues is titled like a companion to Real Folk Blues but covers a different time period. That's not exactly a bad thing; there's some great stuff on this CD, from the rollicking, almost-off-the-tracks "Just My Kind" to the sensual rocking of "I Have a Little Girl." Sure, the sound quality's not the best, but the loose, relaxed "You Can't Be Beat" and the opening harmonica line on "I Love My Baby" are worth listening for. The highlight of this CD, however, is definitely "I'll Be Around." With its heavy beat and vocals loud enough to overpower everything else, this song has a slow menace that makes it easy to understand how the Wolf could terrify his live audiences.
