"Steve Miller Band, Fly Like an Eagle (Japan Pressed)"
DCC 24K Gold CD, Japan 1st Generation Pressing with Cardboard Cover -
Tutored at a young age by no less than guitar whiz Les Paul and blues legend T-Bone Walker, Steve Miller's life seemed destined to be dominated by music. Still, Miller's evolution from 1960s white-boy Chicago blues journeyman to '70s Top 40 hit machine was meteoric.
Building on the success of his mainstream breakthrough The Joker, Miller's mastery of the indelibly catchy pop song yielded not only the radio-staple title track (since successfully revived by Seal), but an almost embarrassing wealth of other deceptively simple, hook-laden songs (including the standout "Wild Mountain Honey" as well as the hit singles "Take the Money and Run" and "Rock'n Me") to make FLY LIKE AN EAGLE play more like a greatest hits album than a standard collection of songs. This is Miller at his '76 pop-perfectionist peak, and one of the decade's most enduring surprises.

Miller forsook his love of the blues for this and its sister project Book Of Dreams. In turning to mainstream pop/rock he became a huge star and developed the knack of delivering high-quality three-minute songs that were perfect for FM radio. The album is linked by Miller's fascination with electronic sounds, sandwiched between the irresistible title track, the Bonnie and Clyde tale of 'Take The Money And Run', the irritatingly simple 'Rock 'n' Me' and the subdued 'The Window', with its quirky lyric 'ask my baby what she wants to be, she says a monkey in a tree'. His baby replies 'there's nothing greater than love', true enough. After all, it was Miller who rhymed 'northern California' with 'girls are warm yeah'.

"Steve Miller Band, Book of Dreams - Last Copy"
DCC 24K Gold CD "Last Copy"
When Miller, Mallaber and Turner took their chums into the studio to record FLY LIKE AN EAGLE, they emerged with 22 tracks. Some may have noticed that there are only 12 tracks on FLY LIKE AN EAGLE.
Rather than release what would have been one of the greatest double studio LPs of all time, Miller decided to release a magnificent single LP FLY LIKE AN EAGLE, and then hold on to the remaining tracks for the next release. No way could the tracks be held onto be considered less outstanding than the ones that made it for the FLY LIKE AN EAGLE release. If anything, BOOK OF DREAMS is even a better album.
It has two excellent singles - Jet Airliner and Jungle Love -- it also has the wonderful Swing Town - Winter Time, True Fine Love - Wish Upon A Star - Electro Lux Imbroglio - Sacrifice - The Snake - My Own Space - Babes In The Wood.

"Abba - Abba's The Album - 180 Gram"
ABBA'S THE ALBUM - 180 GRAM LIMITED EDITION
ABBA's fifth album was a marked step forward for the group, having evolved out of Europop music into a world-class rock act over their previous two albums, they now proceeded to absorb and assimilate some of the influences around them, particularly the laid-back California sound of Fleetwood Mac (curiously, like ABBA, then a band with two couples at its center), as well as some of the attributes of progressive rock.

"Stephen Stills, Manassas (2 LPs)"
Classic Original Master 1st Generation 180 Gram Pressing, "Out of Print, Last Copies"
Stephen Stills - MANASSAS - Double LP
Steven Stills/Manassas 2 LPs After stops in The Buffalo Springfield, CSN(&Y) and a few solo albums for the Atlantic label, Stills recruited musical kindred-spirits including the likes of Chris Hillman (The Byrds) to form Manassas. The resulting debut, a 2-LP set from 1972, has been a perennial favorite since its release. It's a big bubbling cauldron of country-rock-blue(s)- grass with blue eyed soul mixings plus Stills' penchant for Latin riffs (Suite: Judy Blue Eyes) thrown in for flavor. This collection not only showcase Stills trademark voice and song writing, but finally lets his fiery guitar playing blaze through. Songs include Song Of Love, Rock and Roll Crazies/Cuban Bluegrass, Jet Set, Anyway, Both Of Us, Fallen Eagle, Jesus Gave Love Away For Free, Colorado, So Begins The Task, Hide It So Deep, Don't Look At My Shadow, It Doesn't Matter, Johnny's Garden, Bound To Fall, How Far, Move Around, The Love Gangster, What To Do, Right Now, Treasure and Blues Man

"The Eages, Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 180 Gram"
THE EAGLES - THEIR GREATEST HITS 1971 - 1975 Sealed 180 Gram Analogue Virgin Heavy Vinyl Pressing, blows away the 70's pressing. These FOREIGN pressings are sent with the vinyl outside of the jackets when being shipped to the U.S. to protect the covers from damage. Once inside the our wherehouse we then protectively seal the title in a loose re-sealable plastic cover to ensure the quality of the product. This title is brand new & never played condition. Don't Miss out.
This Limited Edition is the finest quality audiophile LP of this classic Eagles available.
The pre-Hotel California years were arguably the best for The Eagles (though there were, thanks to Joe Walsh, some stellar future moments). Their mix of country, folk and rock had a harder, grittier edge and helped define what would become known as the Southern California sound. There was just enough of a country feel in the beautiful harmonies of "Best of My Love," to blur the edges between the genres. "Take It Easy" and "Lyin' Eyes" could easily have come out of the new Nashville school, as well. The twang that characterizes the guitar intro to "Already Gone" and the leads in "Witchy Woman" and "One of These Nights," also pays tribute to country's guitar greats. This collection houses a scant 10 singles, but not only does it illustrate the magic of the collaboration between Glen Frey and Don Henley, it shows the breadth of The Eagles impact on the many who would follow their lead.

"Poco, Legend - MFSL Factory Sealed JVC Half-speed Japan Pressed LP (with small cutout)
POCO - LEGEND - MFSL SEALED LP - This is a MFSL Super Virgin Vinyl (so pure that you can see through it if held up to the light) JVC Half-Speed Japanese Pressing.
THIS COPY HAS A SMALL CUTOUT IN THE JACKET BUT OTHER THEN THAT IT IS PRISTINE. THIS IS OUR LAST COPY FOREVER.
This is one of those albums that's fallen between the cracks of time. Virtually every song here is worth a listen. Crazy Love, In the Heart of the Night, Legend are classics. I can't figure out why a lot of reviewers insist on comparing Poco with the Eagles. I know, they had similar country rock roots. But by the late 70s, the Eagles had formulated a harder-edged sound that had little in common with their first couple of albums. In fact, Legend has more in common with the early Eagle material than than with what the Eagles were doing in 1978, when Poco released this record. So check it out. It's good stuff.

"FM Original Soundtrack, Boston, Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, Queen & more (2 LPs)"
Classic Analog LP Pressing w/ small cut out in cover.
FM - ORIGINAL SOUND TRACK ALBUM - DOUBLE LP SET
Out of Print 20 YEARS FACTORY SEALED ORIGINAL RELEASE Analog LP with small cutout on jacket but contains all the original LP picture sleeve LP insert.
This DOUBLE VINYL collection is the soundtrack from the 1978 ill-fated movie. Pushing the visuals aside, the collection includes a majority of the top selling classic rock artists performing their classic hit singles that dominated the airwaves in the 1970's.
Walter Brecker and Donald Fagen/Steely Dan are represented with their newly recorded title track that opens the collection and reprise that closes out the second disc. Their first major chart success, the relentless "Do It Again," is also included.
The Eagles are represented as a group on "Life In The Fast Lane," from the "Hotel California" album, while there are 2 solo members with individual tracks: Joe Walsh does a parody of fortune and fame on the tongue and cheek track, "Life's Been Good." Randy Meisner performs on "Bad Man."
One of the most popular female vocalists of the 1970's was Linda Ronstadt. She has 2 live performances on the album, which she also performed in the film, "Tumbling Dice," (a Rolling Stones track) and "Poor Poor Pitiful Me."
Boston's feel good debut single, "More Than A Feeling" is on the soundtrack, which was extracted from their multiplatinum eponyomous debut that sold more copies that any debut album during its inception. Queen rocks with their stadium anthum, "We Will Rock You." Steve Miller soars on "Fly Like An Eagle." Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker's trademark sound is heard on "Breakdown." Lou Gramm's high pitched vocals are evident on the track "Cold As Ice." The Doobie Brothers "It Keeps You Runnin'" is also included in this important rock and roll collection.
The soundtrack also sports Jimmy Buffet's electric performance on "Livingston Saturday Night." Folker and adult contemporary stylist, Dan Fogelberg delivers one of his most emotionally wrenching ballads with "There's A Place In The World For A Gambler," while New York's own, Billy Joel sings his trademark ballad and grammy award winning song of the year, "Just The Way You Are." James Taylor is represented with the mid-tempo love song,"Your Smiling Face" and jazz musician Boz Scaggs performs his up tempo signature track "Lido Shuffle," that originaly appeared on his "Silk Degrees" album.
This collection brings the listener back to a more innocent time in rock and roll (if that was possible), when the emphasis was primarily on the music itself and the live performances. It is essential listening for avid fans of the rock and roll medium. Skip the movie and go straight for the soundtrack!

The set spans a period from an early Marty Balin solo recording in 1962 through a live recording of "You Wear Your Dresses Too Short" from 1972.
If any group deserves a box set career retrospective, it's the Airplane, a great band that post-punk critics have scandalously undervalued. Sorry, but the Airplane was not--repeat, not--just a bunch of stoned hippies singing innocuous little ditties about flower power. Rather, they were one of the most ferocious live acts of their day, terrific songwriters capable of both tender ballads and squalling, almost atonal rockers, and they had attitude to burn, which is a roundabout way of saying that they had more in common with the punks that followed them than those punks were prepared to admit.
In any case, this set is not strictly speaking a greatest-hits package, although just about every important Airplane song is represented; it is LOVES YOU's smart idea, however, to present most of them in previously unreleased live versions. This is a particularly good move, given that the Airplane's studio albums, up to and including VOLUNTEERS, were consistently among the worst produced of any major band of their era, and while no live recording really does justice to the Airplane's monumental concert sound, the ones here come close enough. Essential listening.

"Jackson Browne, Running On Empty - CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK"
JACKSON BROWNE RUNNING ON EMPTY 5.1 CD + DVD SEALED - OVER 200 NEVER - BEFORE - SEEN TOUR PHOTO'S & 2 EXCLUSIVE VIDEO MONTAGES. INCLUDES 2 PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED TRACKS.
Recorded onstage, backstage, in three different hotel rooms, and on a Continental Silver Eagle tour bus during a cross-country 1977 tour, Running on Empty is a paean to life on the road. Jackson Browne's sense of camaraderie extended to the road crew, if "The Load Out," a love song to his roadies, is to be believed. Browne is much more blithe here than in his earlier outings. But Empty also represents a fleeting lighthearted moment for the singer-cum-poet whose concerns became more political than personal after its appearance. Beneath its flippant surface, this disc is a look at the lengths Browne and his friends went to avoid facing the demands of the touring life. What with the frequent drug references, misogynistic references to on-the-fly pairings with women, and the sobering line in the title track--"I look around for the friends I used to pull me through / Looking into their eyes, I see them running, too"--one realizes that Browne was much more comfortable on the road than off.

With his husky, soulful baritone, Michael McDonald became one of the most distinctive and popular vocalists to emerge from the laid-back California pop/rock scene of the late '70s. McDonald found the middle ground between blue-eyed soul and smooth soft rock, a sound that made him a star. He initially essayed his signature style with the Doobie Brothers, ushering in the group's most popular period with hits like "What a Fool Believes" and "Taking It to the Streets." McDonald disbanded the group in 1982 to pursue a solo career, which was initially quite successful, but by the end of the decade his popularity had faded away, since he was reluctant to work regularly and hesitant to update his sound to suit shifting popular tastes.
After singing backup on several Steely Dan albums in the mid-'70s, Michael McDonald joined the Doobie Brothers in 1977. He was largely responsible for moving the group away from boogie rock and toward polished, jazzy blue-eyed soul. Prior to the Doobies' farewell tour in 1982, he sang harmony on several hit singles, including tracks by Donna Summer, Toto, Kenny Loggins, and Christopher Cross. As it turned out, McDonald's solo work was a cross between the Doobie Brothers' white-bread soul and Cross' adult contemporary ballads.
McDonald released his solo debut, If That's What It Takes, in 1982. The record climbed to number six on the strength of the number four single "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)," which also crossed over into the R&B Top Ten. In 1983, he had another Top 20 pop hit (and a Top Ten R&B hit) with his duet with James Ingram, "Yah Mo B There." McDonald didn't deliver his second solo album, No Lookin' Back, until 1985. The record wasn't as successful as its predecessor, producing only one moderate hit in its title track. He bounced back the following year, when his duet with Patti LaBelle, "On My Own," shot to number one and "Sweet Freedom," his theme for the Billy Crystal/Gregory Hines comedy Running Scared, climbed into the Top Ten.
Instead of capitalizing on his revitalized success, McDonald didn't release another album until 1990. The resulting Take It to Heart was a bomb, peaking at number 110. Two years later, his fortunes were revived somewhat when he sang on Aretha Franklin's minor hit "Ever Changing Times" and toured with Donald Fagen's New York Rock and Soul Revue. The following year, he released Blink of an Eye, which was ignored. In 1994, "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)" was sampled heavily in Warren G's smash hit "Regulate." By 1996, McDonald had returned to the Doobie Brothers, touring the oldies circuit with the reunited group. The following year, McDonald released Blue Obsession, his first album of new material in three years. He released a Christmas album (In the Spirit: A Christmas Album) in 2001, and began a series of recordings devoted to the Motown catalog with 2003's Motown. Motown Two and Soul Speak followed in 2004 and 2008 respectively.

FM SOUNDTRACK - This DOUBLE VINYL collection is the soundtrack from the 1978 ill-fated movie.

Steven Stills/Manassas 2 LPs - ORIGINAL 1ST 180 GRAM CLASSIC RECORDS WITH ORIGINAL COMPLETE WRAP EDITION After stops in The Buffalo Springfield, CSN(&Y) and a few solo albums for the Atlantic label, Stills recruited musical kindred-spirits including the likes of Chris Hillman (The Byrds) to form Manassas.

Steven Stills/Steven Stills, - ORIGINAL 180 GRAM CLASSIC RECORDS 1ST EDITION WITH ORIGINAL COMPLETE WRAP - LAST PRESSING FOREVER With this 1970 self-titled solo effort, Stephen Stills, like his bandmates of CSN&Y had decided to explore other musical avenues. Featuring Jimi Hendrix, who died prior to the album's release on Old Times Good Times. The London session also allowed Stills to finally team up with Eric Clapton on Go Back Home. Spawning the mega-hit Love The One You're With. The album is a masterful mix of the southern California folk pop sound that Stills helped forge, blended with the Latin, swamp and blues influences that he was ready to express. Also collaborating are John Sebastian, Rita Coolidge, David Crosby, Graham Nash and Cass Elliot. Engineered by Andy Johns and arranged in part by Arif Mandrin.

DAVID CROSBY - This title is the 200 gram CLASSIC RECORDS WITH ORIGINAL COMPLETE WRAP EDITION. David Crosby's debut solo album If I Could Only Remember My Name is a one-shot wonder of dreamy but ominous California ambience. The songs range from brief snapshots of inspiration (the angelic chorale-vocal showcase on "Orleans" and the a cappella closer, "I'd Swear There Was Somebody Here") to the full-blown, rambling Western epic "Cowboy Movie", and there are absolutely no false notes struck or missteps taken. No one before or since has gotten as much mileage out of a wordless vocal as Crosby does on "Tamalpais High (At About 3)" and "Song With No Words (Tree With No Leaves)", and because the music is so relaxed, each song turns into its own panoramic vista. Those who don't go for trippy Aquarian sentiment, however, may be slightly put off by the obscure, cosmic storytelling of the gorgeous "Laughing" or the ambiguous (but pointed) social questioning of "What Are Their Names", but in actuality it is an incredibly focused album. Even when a song as pretty as "Traction in the Rain" shimmers with its picked guitars and autoharp, the album is coated in a distinct, persistent menace that is impossible to shake. It is a shame that Crosby would continue to descend throughout the remainder of the decade and the beginning of the next into aimless drug addiction, and that he would not issue another solo album until 18 years later. As it is, If Only I Could Only Remember My Name is a shambolic masterpiece, meandering but transcendently so, full of frayed threads. Not only is it among the finest splinter albums out of the CSNY diaspora, it is one of the defining moments of hung-over spirituality from the era.

On their third album, The Eagles finally produced a No. 1 hit with "The Best of My Love," but most of On The Border is marked by tough rockers, not sweet ballads. "Already Gone" is a brusque kiss-off and "Midnight Flyer" a bluegrass kicker, while "James Dean" recalls the '50s rebel icon, and the title track reflects on paranoia and creeping Big Brotherism. The Eagles also cover a Tom Waits tune, "Ol' 55," and pay tribute to alt-country godfather Gram Parsons on "My Man." The album title is prophetic in the sense that the band that made this record was on the verge of greatness, but not quite there yet.

The Eagles exploded on the charts in 1975 with One of These Nights, the first of four straight albums by the band to reach No. 1. The album was their most varied to date, with the discofied title track, the stately waltz "Take It To the Limit," and the tough, cynical country rocker "Lyin' Eyes." The album contains a couple of unusual numbers as well, including Bernie Leadon's psychedelic banjo showcase "Journey of the Sorcerer" and "I Wish You Peace," which Leadon wrote with his then-girlfriend, Patti Davis.

"The Eagles, Their Greatest Hits 1971 - 1975"
THE EAGLES - THEIR GREATEST HITS 1971-1975 -This is a digitally re-mastered Mini LP replica Limited Edition Collection, packaged in Germany and distributed via the U.K. (not the OBI/AMCY series) – only very few Collector pieces made world-wide and are immediately Out of Print.
